We applied on the 1st of April all docs were recieved on the 27th,

It still says our app is being assessed on the tracking but we still haven't

Got through to our agent it's a nightmare, I'm trying to stay positive but it's bloody hard!! You never know we might get through, let me know any news you get , thanks everyone one for well wishing, I know July isn't far away but dread the changes they may or may not make!!! X

The thing is, you pretty much know what they want and what info to gather, so it shouldn't be quite so hard or time consuming.

We lodged 26th and document recieved 27th april and it say's my app is being assessed too.

:arghh:I have sent a email to the lady in oz who has dealt with our ss and agent has said she will keep me updated too, so i am hoping i get some news back in the morning, it's going to be a long long night.

Keep yer chin up - no news is good news - I'm sure that they will confirm tommorow as to what is happening, with the already lodged applications. If not then they better be prepared for lots of phone calls!!!!!!!!!!!

OH NO NOT U AS WELL I FEEL REALLY SICK THERE DROPPING US LIKE FLYS ARNT THEY ..

WELL HAVING JUST GOT OF THE PHONE WITH AGENT ITS STOPS HERE WITH US OUR APPLICATION IS GOING NO FURTHER, ONLY A WEEK OF SUSPENCE AND WORRYING TO DEATH , TO BE HONEST I FEEL REALLY CRAPPY AND A LITTLE MAD AS THEY JUST LEAVE YOU IN LIMBO .

I'm so sorry you missed the cut off Good luck with WA. Have you got enough points after 1st July as they will be releasing lists again after that so perhaps they might allocate your occupation again 2011/2012? Also, I've heard the 175 visa is moving a bit faster now so maybe that is a possibility?

 

I'm confident you will get there in the end but I hjope it's sooner rather than later.

 

I'm so sorry to anyone on here who is in the same situation - I'm sure it will work out for all of you in the end. Sending positive vibes.

I was glad to see you should still have the points you need after the July changes. Ok, so it puts you a few weeks behind where you thought you'd be, but it will still be SA in the end. Anyhow, when you have spoken to your agent tomorrow, all may well be fine. It had better be - all this crossing arms, legs and fingers has really interfered with work today!!

 

I have to say, reading the posts from all of you affected by the news today has left me feeling really anxious, so I can only imagine how you are all feeling.

 

Will check in with you tomorrow to see how it's going...

Have you read the latest on the other thread about hairdressers off the list? Shelly has checked online again and her app has been refused.

 

I tell you, it doesn't half get you involved on this forum. When someone gets good news, everyone is excited for them. When it's not so good, you really feel for them.

 

I may have to wean myself off for a few days - the grey hairs are multiplying at an alarming rate!

Looks like they cut hairdressers off at shelly so I don't hold out any hope but I am fine with it what will be will be eh

Well I slept remarkable well considering, I think once I had heard shelly's bad news I knew deep down it was game over for now!!!

Sure enough got a email this morning confirming that hairdressing quota's have been met and the rest of us have been cut off.

There is not long to wait till July (at least we dont have to wait months!!!)

And who knows what opportunities will arise for us!

Thought about jumping state but I have limited options

Northern territories

Tasmania

Canberra

And who's to say that won't be the same with it been the year end they may have or be near to filling occupational quota's so I would rather just wait and see what July brings oh and Tyke it's bright sunshine and lovely and warm in Scarborough today, wish you were here? Nah I think not lol
