    887 Visa - What's the update?

You will be fine, as long as you paying your rent maintaining a address you don't need to compensate.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Thanks a lot B33I, my 489 will expire on October 2020. Plenty of time, I was worried about staying 3-4 months in overseas. Now, I fell confident to stay overseas. I have some personal issue to short it out. Anyway thanks again, wish you best of luck.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I am not thinking about case officer allocation, I am thinking it is ok to stay couple of months during 887 or not. As you stayed for couple of months it will be easier for me to take my decision. Thanks a lot for that, wish you a best of luck. I hope your grants is on the way.

Russki I have a question to you. I am going to apply 887 in October. Since I moved in I had a full time job until now. I had 3/4 different job ( full time) during the time frame. When I apply should I apply with 52 payslips or more ? Any suggestion for me.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi Gur, I have a question to you. How long you can stay overseas without any problem on 887 application. Like is this ok to stay couple of month if it is like medical purpose or family issue. Any idea about that. I am gonna apply 887 within few months so I just need to know. If you know some thing please let me know.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

You can go overseas during your 887 application. You have to inform immigration by sending an email like your departure date and arrival date. Also double check you have your valid 489 visa otherwise you have to apply for bridging visa B. There will be no consequences for travelling overseas cause you are not breaching any 489/887 condition. One last thing you must be on shore to get your residency. Have a good holiday.

    489 Work conditions

If you think you can work overnight I would suggest you to apply in Mcdonald in overnight position. Most of the time they always look for full time employee for overnight. Best of luck keep trying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I am wondering what actually case officers do on their job. They should do it on fast track. Every year they increase the visa application fee and their service getting below standard level. People are waiting long enough to get their residency. I feel very bad for the current applicant I know the waiting time is awful. I am going to apply in October, but checking this thread every single day for few time, honestly speaking I am felling pressure as well. Anyway all the best guys.

HI James, Do you have any valid source for that ? Or is that your assumption only. I only got 6 months left to apply 887 visa.

Hey Parash just a quick question to you. How long you can stay overseas after 887 application ? For example can you stay until you get you pre grant or is there any rules ??

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I am pretty sure that you can travel overseas during your 887 application. I am not sure how can you contact immigration unless a case officer is allocated. I would say call immigration on next week ask them the same question. I think they can provide you a good solution. Sorry man I haven't applied for 887 yet. I will do it after 7 months. You can wait until someone else reply on this forum.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I understand your scenario, for holiday I will stick to 3 week rules. That means you have to stay extra 8 weeks to be on safe side. For tenancy reference letter I would say gather as many documents as you can. Like bank statement, electricity bills, utility bills, Driving licence, Tax assessment papers, along with a reference letter. well thats gonna be enough for me but case officer may have different opinion. If you are still confused seek help from 887 lawyer. You might have to pay for the consultation fee but it will save you more in future.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I think the rule was 3 weeks in first year and another 3 weeks in second year. So it can't be 6 week in one go. If you spend more then 3 weeks in one year, I would say you should stay longer to make it even to 730 days. It may depends on the case officer. I have contacted a 887 lawyer via email and his response. Hi xxxxx- Thanks for the note. I can't comment on your eligibility without seeing your documentation at a consultation, however generally speaking the there is a policy allowance of 3 weeks per year for an applicant to be outside Australia on vacation, etc while still maintaining a residence in Australia, and the 3 weeks per year is not deducted from the living in Australia time - ie, it's counted as time in Australia for purposes of the requirement of the 887 visa to live in the designated area for 2 years while holding the 489. Now its up to you, but think twice before you do anything silly at this stage. You may lodge your 887 without cover up your holidays if you are lucky you will be alright if not after 4 months when you case officer got allocated may ask you to stay back and fill up those days. So you have to apply again, to be safe side I would recommend you to cover up your holidays. Anyways all the best let us know your updates once you apply.
