There is a new system for renewing uk passports, go to http://www.fco.gov.uk and click on passports. All done online now and you just print out declaration at end and sign and send off to uk and rates have been reduced too Hope that helps Julie

Just flown to brissy with my little one and I was not asked for id/passport once!

Oh and it's that simple hey? Here is someone trying to do a good deed for a family that's had the awful experience of a house fire and out of the woodwork people like you appear!!! Yes shame on you and I really do hope you never have to experience something like this......but if you do at least you will be insured.

Seems like everyone is jumping to the conclusion that the OP is trying to avoid the debt! For goodness sake they are just asking for others experiences! I've seen a lot of people leave this site for this reason, which is a shame, makes everyone think twice about posting!!
