  1. Hello Everyone,

With God's Grace Alhamdullilah  got the golden email today morning at 11:30 am.

I have been an active member of this forum and can't thank enough for the people who are so helping in this forum.

    Timeline:  7 months, 12 days

    Visa applied: 12 Nov 2019

    Direct Grant: 24 June 2019

    CO:- NIKHILA

As there was a recent change for primary applicant  to provide proof of english,  I (primary Applicant) uploaded my PTE score card which i had given in sept 2017, also uploaded college letter for english medium proof and 4 years college degree certificate and transcripts. I uploaded it in the other document section.  I also did the same for my wife ( Secondary applicant)

Also its good to submit a word doc then convert that to PDF and name it as DECISION READY CHECKLIST and mention all the docs which you uploaded for primary and secondary applicant separately. I got this suggestion from this forum only. Thanks a lot to the members of this forum. This doc makes the life easy for CO and helps CO in taking a decision immediately.

Another quick tip who want Direct Grant:- Highlight Salary credit, rental deposit and utility debit in the Bank statements in yellow ( I know it is time consuming but it helps a lot). I also highlighted Superannuation Transaction statement wherever Employer contribution was there in the statement.

Best of luck to everyone who are still waiting for the Grant. Hope everyone waiting gets their grant soon.

Let me know if anyone has any questions. Happy to help

  2. Congrats to all who got their grants and applied in october and nov 2019. Is there anyone who lives in melbourne and applied in sept 2019 or oct 2019 or nov 2019 who got the grants recently. I am asking this as I saw mostly people from Adelaide, Tasmania or regional areas are getting their grants withing 8 months.  Is here anyone who lives in melbourne and applied after sept 2019 and got contacted by CO or got direct grant ?

  3. Hi
Anyone has the declaration format that needs to be submitted to immigration for delayed home country PCC.I applied  Indian PCC about a month ago but seems it might take long.

Spent only 55 days in Home country after 489 PCC which obtained in 2017.

From which VFS office you applied for PCC? Did you apply by post or went in person after taking online appointment?

  4. I saw in FB group that someone applied for PCC by post and processed and received through post. and whole process took around 1 month.

I was asking if anyone has gone personally to VFS office with an appointment as I see the appointments are available in VFS Melbourne

as soon as u apply for 887 u receive the acknowledgement  letter in email take the printout along with your passport and all family members and u will get Medicare right away

I took mine the same way

@qld  In the medicare form,  there is Question  36 - Does this person require a Lifetime Health Cover letter?  (For more information, see page 1 of this form)   Should we say YES or NO. I already have private health insurance and will continue to use that

Medicare is only available for after bridging visa come into effect. if you current visa still in effect. the bridging visa will not come into efeect. so you are not eligible for Medicare

@June I have just called medicare and we are eligible for medicare once we get the bridging visa and we have to take the acknowledgment of 887 as well as bridging visa along with the passport to the nearest medicare office. Both wife and main applicant needs to be present in the office
