the processing time for your partner 489 is couple of months, since some of people here got the same situation and it took 3 months to get it. But for my case it took few weeks ( applied last year).
when you apply 887, you will receive immi notification and bridging visa A for all applicants. But this bridging visa will not be in effect yet, until your 489 is expired!.
so it means you can travel out Australia anytime w/o informing the Immi during your 489's time. when your 489 is expired and you havent got your 887(PR), your Bridging Visa will be activated, then you need to inform IMMI ( get Bridging B ) whenever you want to travel out Australia. !
@JoeIAm Thanks very much for ythe info. Much appreciated

I see. Please see answer in my previous post!
any idea what are the processing times for 489 subsequent visa?

The idea is you both have to apply for 887 together. You cannot apply for 887 on your own and later add her. This is why you guys need to apply for 489 subsequent entrant for your partner as soon as you can.
@Russki After I apply for 887 and add her in that, my questin is -- Will I go on bridging visa automatically ? and will she also go on bridging visa automatically ? any idea what are the processing times for 489 subsequent visa?

Hi @Akie! yes, she does need to be with you here when you apply for 887. And she needs to have held a prerequisite visa (489) before you can apply together for 887, unfortunately. You cannot just add her to your 887 application.
Good move would be to get here here on a "subsequent entrant 489" visa first. Will pave your way nicely to 887. Will help you to avoid a lot of hassle in the future.
when I apply for 887 for myself and add her also in 887 while she is in australia, Will I go on bridging visa automatically ? and will she also go on bridging ? any idea what are the processing times for 489 subsequent visa?

if you want to apply (or get the PR) 887 for you and your partner, then she needs to be on 489 subsequent before applying for 887. otherwise, you get PR and get her later, but it takes more time by doing this way.

Hi guys, Just a quick question
I am currently on 489 visa. I will be eligible to apply for 887 visa on august 2019. My enquiry is when i apply for 887 visa, do my partner need to be present with me in australia ? Is it necessary for her to
be on 489 subsequent entry visa or if I can get her to Australia on visitor visa and then apply for 887 and include her in that . Is that possible ? Does she need to have any kind of australian visa for me
to apply for 887 ? I would like to add her name as well while applying 887 visa . She does not hold any Australian Visa. Can she be offshore in that time ?

@sumon bhai Thanks for the detailed list. If My PCC is expired how can I get a new PCC if I am in australia? How did u get the new PCC ? for how long is the PCC valid?
Also lets say my wife comes to australia in august 2019, can I apply immediately for 887 and add her as well? or do i need to show the proof also that she has lived with me for couple of months and then apply for 887 ? My 489 is expiring in dec 2019
