    Hi All,

Hoping that you are all well.

I have a question related to relationship status. I have not joint account with my partner and Never travel together.

However, I already submitted the  Marriage certificate, Wedding photos, Statement from family and money sending recipts.

Now CO wants more relationship proofs.

    What should i provide now?

I don't see why you are required to give more details as you have already done. Better to create a Joint account now and have some transactions through. Further, If you can get a letter or an agreement from your Landlord that you both live in the same property, that would also be fine.

Please Sign it to reducing processing time of 887

New petition have approved by parliament of Australia

If you have family member who is joining 887 with you ,they can also sign it as well, don't forget to ask your husband or wife to sign it,it doesn't say one household one signature,if you have a kid, plus your wife or husband, that's 3 signature ,if you have 5 kinds, plus your wife or husband, that's 7 signature and you are making a great effort.Your friend's friends and relatives, can also signing this petition ,You can also sharing it in your own community and in your own language, I know many people have their own online group, please share it around,as long as they hold some kind of visa in Australia or Citizen and agree with our petition. Also if you are using an agent, you can also ask them to help, they may know a lot of 887 applicant or 489 holders. If we are doing in this way,we could hit 10000 Signature shortly.😄

Has the processing time gone up again ? It has been a long time since I last logged into the forum. Processing time that DHA site says is not always accurate guys

  3. Folks,

How long should my son's passport be valid by the time we apply for Citizenship ? Unlike adults passports, kids get expired very soon and it only valid for 3 years. So my sons passport will be expired in 4 months AFTER we have applied Citizenship.

Are we able to do that or we should have a new passport that has valid more than 6 months ?

    /Thanks,
    D.V.R

    hi everyone

Can we apply for 887 while my wife is still in offshore due to obvious reasons... I know the DHA have said we can do this but my agent says that they cant add my wife's name yet.

Is there anyone who has applied while secondary applicant is in off shore.???

    Much appreciated

You can apply 887 while she is being offshore. When the decision is made, she will be given a pre-grant..

    Hi folks.

Hope this is in the right/suitable place.

My question is in regards applying for Citizenship. I will have been here in Adelaide 4 years on May 2021. I came over from the UK on a Spouse Visa, so I have been on PR the whole time.

What would happen if I submitted my application now, say?

What I'm concerned about is the application is rejected and obviously no refund, and then I would have to apply and pay again in May.

There is a reason why I'm thinking about applying early, just wanted to know if anyone knew of advantages and disadvantages, consequences.

    Thanks

    Johnny

There is a citizenship calculator on DHA website to show whether you are eligible to apply when you want to apply. It will only allow short holidays outside of Australia.

Our PR was granted last week and we are expecting a first new born later this year. I understand that a child born to parents with PR become Australian citizens. Is my understanding correct? Also how do we apply for the citizenship of the new born and can we get a Australian passport for the new born.

    Appreciate your guidance

Congratulations brother, yes, Your kid will be Citizen. Once you get the birth certificate, you can apply for the passport. You don't have to attend to ceremony or anything

Congratulations @a4anudeep !!  Just a quick question, What do you mean by Interview/Test Date ? Is there an Interview for the applicants as well ?

  8. Visiting the forum after a long time (haven't really been since my direct grant 😊 !! )

Someone has asked (can't remember who) about showing daily expenses and salary deposits by the employer. My Advise is to just maintain two bank accounts (One saving and one every day transactions - I have had two accounts in Commbank and do think other banks allow you to do so..) So Salary deposits you may use the Saving accounts whereas for groceries, and other daily expenses, normal account can be used with a Debit card. By the time you apply, it is just a matter of exporting all the bank statements of your Savings account. Further, when you are applying for a mortgage (after 887 being granted) Saving account can be shown as "Genuine Savings". You don't have to show every daily transaction you have been doing for the lat two years ...

    Just a thought ... Good Luck everyone !! 😍

Indeed this is a very quiet group. Anyone knows whether we can apply citizenship for kids as we await to fulfill the residency requirement? I noted that kids do not require to satisfy the residency criteria.

No I think either Parent (Guardian) can add kids to her/his Citizenship application. For example, if a spouse of the primary applicant was out of Australia for more than 1 year, she/he will not have full-filled the Residency criteria by the time main applicant applies the Citizenship. However, if they both have kids below 16 years of age, they can be included into Primary applicants' Citizenship application. And sometimes, Department simply doesn't consider secondary applicants Residence Requirements either as it is just only one member of the family unit.

Hey Guys, stay positive. I have contacted many people whole have been on holiday for more than 40 days without pay and have received their visa. It all depends on how often you have traveled, whether you were paid annual leave for your time off or not. Mainly people been questioned are those who have received their 489 offshore.

I saw a person case who was granted 489 in Jan and this person was offshore when the visa was granted. He traveled to India for 28 days in June. He mentioned that he was paid but how can these many hours of annual leave accumulate in 6 months Every case is different not everyone is entitled to annual leave or paid holidays.

Its good to cognizant people to add some time but who have applied already, let's give them hope to be positive and wait for a positive outcome.

Positive Affirmation for you all: We are happy and we are Permanent resident.

Let's enjoy this moment by saying this affirmation until we receive our outcome. We all are heading to the good times of our life. Please stay positive 🙂

I have been out of Ausi for 26 days but got direct grant ... one of my friend who had been out for 60 days but still got grant ... If you are offsetting days you were out, that will give you peace of mind, leaving CO(s) no option to ask you back any justifications on resident factor, friend 😊 Do NOT take any risks .. people suffered a lot with 489 visa ..with 491 you are eligible for Job seeker plus Medicare !! which I believe is so unfair !!! 🙄

    • Thanks 1
  11. DAMN!!! I can't believe myself .. GRANT !! Direct !! Holly F**** GOD .. 😂😂 I am going on half-a-day leave to celebrate now ..

    Applied date: 07/03/2020

Wife(secondary applicant went to India to have our baby, as I was not a full time employee and had no income, mainly due to financial hardships).
Son was born in India and applied subsequent on 17 July, 2019. Since the grant got delayed, i applied a Visitor Visa also for my son. Both Visas came on the same day !! 😊 (06 December 2019, They just got into Australia before the boarder was closed on March 1st.

I was worried as I was out of Australia for 26 days and wasn't offset before applying (I knew after I had applied 887)

Today !!! Directly granted by lovely Sophie !!! 😍

I wish you all get direct grants soon .. See you all in Citizenship form next year .. .

they are moving forward in haste and giving grants randomly only....Most of people being asked to submit the same docs again which are uploaded earlier.. and even after resubmission, there is no time frame of CO, to come back and clear these files. This is very sad part and lot of people are getting harassed in wait..

I don't call them random. they just skip the ones that don't have supported documents. I would disagree with that as they don't give grants if applicants don't have living, working, character evidences.

log in to mygov, select ATO, then select Super from navigation, then select Fund Details, then u can see a page showing ur super account, click ur account, u can download a pdf showing ur employer name

@MMM, Thanks Buddy, I just logged into MyGov and verified that Super contribution details with Employer details are there !! Thanks buddy, however, until I become a permanent employee, the entries show as "Employee details can't be displayed" - not sure what means though. Therefore, will keep only the Super statement from the provider. Cheers MMM
