  1. If your kid is below 16 years of age, you don't have to wait till December. You can add her/him to your application. So then you wife can apply as a single applicant in December. Children below 16 don't have to fulfil any requirements

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Yes, you are correct. Nomination are not managed by Department of Homeaffair, and it is by State Governments. So you should not be worried.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

If you can provide that wouldn't hurt... In case the CO would ask you the overseas police clearance, your application will be on hold. we can't argue with them. If it is easier you to get it. just apply and upload. I have seen occasions where they ask for PC when the applicant has never left to home country Good Luck !!

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Try to upload all the documents that have both your names on it (Tenancy agreement. Letter from Medical insurance, or the documents that you showed to get your partner subsequent visa, doesn't matter if its the same set of documents, upload them again. Most importantly, if you can create a bank account with both of your names on it (Joint saving or everyday account), that would be good. It will show Department that both of you live together under one roof. Attach that bank statement as a residential address proof as well. Good Luck !!

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Get a letter from him that you lived in his place with rent free (with his signature, passport number, and a statement that you two have known each other for a long period of time) . Also, you must have phone bills, rego, Car insurance, or any document to prove that address, it would be fine. Tenancy agreement is just another document to add to above list. So don't worry.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

If you are overseas by the time the visa is granted, you will be given "pre-grant", which doesn't have a deadline. The Permanent residency will be activated by the time you land in Australia. So don't worry. It doesn't matter whether you are the main applicant or/and dependent.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Better not to take any risk. It is not mentioned anywhere that you can't move to metropolitan areas, but in case CO(s) asks you to provide a new AFP once it gets expired, you have to mention the addresses lived, which may become a problem. So I would recommend to stay out of that thought moving out, till you get PR. Good Luck.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Dependent doesn't need to fulfil any requirement except Character and relationship to the main applicant. So don't worry. Make sure you upload Marriage certificate, travel tickets, and anything that both your names on it. I reckon to create a join account in any bank and start using it immediately (In case you don't have it already) Good Luck

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Wouldn't be a problem at all. You can attach whatever Super details you have. Further, You can contact Super at anytime and request a letter of updated details. Just say them it is for Immigration purposes. Normally it takes 3-5 business days. You can upload any document during the waiting period. Good Luck.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I don't see why you are required to give more details as you have already done. Better to create a Joint account now and have some transactions through. Further, If you can get a letter or an agreement from your Landlord that you both live in the same property, that would also be fine.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Has the processing time gone up again ? It has been a long time since I last logged into the forum. Processing time that DHA site says is not always accurate guys
  17. Folks, How long should my son's passport be valid by the time we apply for Citizenship ? Unlike adults passports, kids get expired very soon and it only valid for 3 years. So my sons passport will be expired in 4 months AFTER we have applied Citizenship. Are we able to do that or we should have a new passport that has valid more than 6 months ? /Thanks, D.V.R

    887 Visa - What's the update?

You can apply 887 while she is being offshore. When the decision is made, she will be given a pre-grant..
  19. There is a citizenship calculator on DHA website to show whether you are eligible to apply when you want to apply. It will only allow short holidays outside of Australia.
  20. Awesome Thanks Brother. Like 887, do we have provide evidence of all the documents, living proofs, Tax returns, earnings, etc ?
  21. Congratulations brother, yes, Your kid will be Citizen. Once you get the birth certificate, you can apply for the passport. You don't have to attend to ceremony or anything

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Visiting the forum after a long time (haven't really been since my direct grant !! ) Someone has asked (can't remember who) about showing daily expenses and salary deposits by the employer. My Advise is to just maintain two bank accounts (One saving and one every day transactions - I have had two accounts in Commbank and do think other banks allow you to do so..) So Salary deposits you may use the Saving accounts whereas for groceries, and other daily expenses, normal account can be used with a Debit card. By the time you apply, it is just a matter of exporting all the bank statements of your Savings account. Further, when you are applying for a mortgage (after 887 being granted) Saving account can be shown as "Genuine Savings". You don't have to show every daily transaction you have been doing for the lat two years ... Just a thought ... Good Luck everyone !!
