Hi Friends,
Could you please help me ?
Normally I don’t have any alias names.
1. As per passport and most of the documents My name is for eg:
Last name: “South Wales“
Given name: “New“
2.In my birth certificate it’s shown as “New S Wales”
3.In utility bills it’s shown as “ New Wales”
(a) Do I need to do AFP in “New S Wales” and “New Wales “?
(b)Do I need to declare both “New S Wales” and “New Wales” in 887 application and Form80?
(c) Do I need to do any other things to prove all names are same?
Thanking you in advance.
Please advice!
Plus, give an affidavit signed by a JG that all the name refer to the same person. He/She will ask you to answer "I affirm" in front of him and sign.

Hi friends. I am in a situation and want to know your thoughts and suggestions as I can see there are many helpful and knowledgeable people in this forum. I have applied in March 2020 and I am pretty confident to say that I have provided sufficient documents as evidences as in multiple proofs for a requirement wherever possible) and I am waiting on my Indian PCC to arrive.
I was the primary applicant for 487 and so am for 887 visa. I have provided university letter for my spouse as a proof of functional English. I have provided my employer letter as proof of functional English for myself and I am trying to get in touch with my college in India to get the letter but no one is answering the numbers they have on site. Probably because of the fact the they are closed due to COVD-19. What should I do? I have uploaded my IELTS results from March 2017 and all my degree marksheets that are in English and no other language on them. Will these documents be sufficient?
I can’t accept that fact that I have to spend another 400 bucks on IELTS.
Every case is different and it is totally depending on CO(s) hand. I don't think there are much we can do except wait and see their response. Or else to receive the direct grant, you could do the IELTS. just seek other seniors advises as well.

Long time lurker...
Thank you MMM for sticking around and sharing the good news here for us who don't use telegram or facebook
It really looks the case officers are focusing on the old cases where additional documents were requested. It's still good to see them giving much more grants than say the "bad" n old days before April, but it also makes me a bit nervous as my application was in Jan 2020 and they suddenly came to a halt
My rough calculation on the basis of their "speed" before these couple of weeks was about one-month applicants per week, so hopefully after they clear all the backlog they'd resume that speed.
Cheers, and hang in there guys/girls
I like the way you preset the facts @hys887.. Thank you for motivating us

I think they are trying to clear backlogs first, and then start new cases.
Yes, most of the people who got contacted early 2019 are getting grants now ..

Seems not started 2020 files yet. They again reduce their speed

Isn't the queue moving anymore ?

Dear All,
I am not sure if this question has already been raised on this forum. Does Form 1221 need to be filled by all the applicants above 18 or only Primary applicant ?Also, under which section should it be uploaded ? I am unable to see if there is specific field/category for it
Cheers !!

2 months in two years is fine. Don't worry,
@Sachin, Yes, as per the legislation you will get 4 weeks annual leave per year, which means one total month per year. so two month in total two years in residency. Don't worry

Hi everyone,
Appreciate your advice. I am 489 visa holder who applied for 887 in May 2020.
I just learnt today that I will be made redundant in 2 weeks time. My question is can I apply for and accept jobs anywhere in Australia including metropolitan areas?
Or should I search for jobs only in the current regional area which I reside. Will living in a different regional area or a metropolitan area affect my 887 application
Appreciate the advice.
You can move to Metropolitan area only when your 489 gets expired and Bridging visa becomes active. Until then you are not allowed to move and it is against the visa condition. That being said, you can move to another regional area though..

Hi Guys,
Does anyone has any format to write the uni letter to proof the functional English?
Or does it enough to state the duration of study and medium of conduct is in English?
Are there any missing points in here which I should ask to mention on that letter?
Thanks,
If you ask your university/college, they would have their own unique letter format. Just provide as much details as possible (uni.letter, transcript, completion letter, Graduate invitation, Certificate, and the language confirmation; if possible)

Guys
Additional docs requested
Applied - 7th Nov
CO Vineeth asked for Primary applicant function English .
I have provided Letter from uni , uploaded in other documents Section 2 weeks back.
Can you suggest
Where do we upload Requested additional docs ?
I may upload same document again
Only the letter from the uni is not sufficient. You should upload certificate, transcripts, and course completion letter too along with the Language letter

By the way, hi everyone, I am following this forum as of this month, I found tracking trends most interesting. Thanks, moderators, for doing that. It provides at least some sort of estimation on when we could expect our file to be opened.
If you wish to put me in the tracker here are the details:
A family of 2
from the Netherlands
applied on June 5 2020
sponsored by SAJust wondering why would you want to move from a country like Netherlands to Australia

Good morning guys, I am so glad to see that they pushed the grants to August, jumping from December 2018 to August 2019 in just under 2 months, I think they will clear all the 887 applications in 3 months. Great job everyone, you are all well deserved !!!
Sorry for my absence in the last few days because I was busy moving house as I have decided to relocate to Melbourne for a new life.
The 887 tracker is incredibly helpful as it provides a summary for 887 applicants, especially we know that not everyone have time to keep following the forum for updates due to busy life schedule.
Most senior members here have received their grants and have moved on with their lives, which is fantastic. Therefore not many people are managing the tracker at this stage.
I would encourage anyone who are still waiting for their grants, volunteer to update the tracker, if you are keen, please send an email to the owner of the tracker, Lana Bavykina on lanabavykina@gmail.com, she will give you permission to edit the tracker. This forum is amazing because we are here to help and support each other.
I will continue to help when I have time but I will not be as active lately because I need to concentrate on finding a new employment. Good luck everyone!!!
Where have you been @nudgee, without you, this form is just boring ...
Glad you are back ..
