Any engineers reports will not be worth the paper there written, only engineers approved by SA Gov will be accepted. The above site has a list of approved engineers and their contact details I would contact one now and explain, they are quite helpful. Any of your EC certs are also not recognised here either. As a modified vehicle I expect it going to be difficult, but one of the engineers will be able to help you

Having just bought a vehicle interstate and tried to register here in SA, I can tell you that it is not an easy process for older vehicles (pre 1989). I am not familiar with the VW camper or how old it is. If you could let me know how old it is I can give some further advice. Absolute non starts for imports are any vehicles that do not have their standard engine and induction system, ECU, camshaft etc. All emission control must be as fitted. Vehicle will have to have a full roadworthy inspection.

Hi, I was born with the same condition in both legs, and have now had them both replaced. I had my medical notes and just told them and they were fine about it. My daughter has a spinal condition and it wasn't a problem either. let me know how you get on. jo

Hi, My eldest was in Yr 7 in the Uk and when we arrived here last year she was put in Yr 6 but my other daughter was Year 5 and stayed in Yr 5. I think it depends on when your birthday is in some cases. My daughter will be 13 in August and is one of the eldest in her year. Hope this helps a little bit. Jo

Hi there, I come from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, which has a 35mph speed limit, no dual carriageways and no motorways so when we came here for our reccie i was petrified of driving!!! We made the move in April last year and within a week I was driving here, there and everywhere!!! it is very daunting to start with, but once you get used to it, it is good. Jo

HAPPY VALLEY We have been living in Happy Valley for 4 months and love it. It is 10 minutes from Hallett Cove and Marion for shopping and about 20mins from Noarlunga and the City. Schools here are good. I have not heard anything bad about them. My 2 go to Braeview and they have been so accommodating and helpful. There is a little shopping centre which has McDonalds, Off licence, Post Office, Foodland, Chemist, Newsagent, Bakers Delight, Dry Cleaner,barber, Hairdresser, cheap as Chips, 2 estate agents, cafe and a Mitre 10. There is a good bus service here which is great too. House prices are good compared with other suburbs. Oh and we get lots of Kangaroos and Koalas here too!!! Jo

Hi Sally, We have been here 6 months now and are fast approaching our 1st christmas here!! The schools break up on 17th December i think. When we arrived it was the school holidays but we had been in contact with the school prior to that and we phoned and went in to have a look and sign forms etc. Would be more than happy to meet up with you.
