  7. Hi We are Claire & Neil, we are in early 40s with a teenage daughter, we know how u feel, we feel a bit like outcasts not having young kids and it makes it a bit harder to meet people i think, we love eating out, drinking, bbqs and partys and would love to meet new couples! busy the next few wkends but if your free 17th or 24th let me know and we can arrange something:~)

  9. Hi again! i think you would like seaford rise lots of nice houses all different, really quiet and can see the beach from your window! we pay $400 and we have 4 beds, ensuite, large outdoor area and a pool! moana is also nice and port noarlunga. i have only just seen your post about having cold feet, it is really hard leaving people you love and i must admit i do get bad days but not many and i know i have made the right choice, i know weathers not everything but it definately cheers you up, i can see your from wales so the rain is something you will NOT miss lol.skype is fantastic for talking to loved ones, we are on it all the time, it feels like they are next door! when we sold our lovely house in wales (for a lot less than we should have) i was scared of the thought of starting again but iv realised now its not really important, sometimes you just have to take risks and go for it! your plan sounds good, just remember you can always go home, nothings impossible. your children will grow up enjoying the outdoors and not stuck on a playstation! sorry iv gone on a bit but hope its helped just a bit, goodluck with the house sale. Claire Neil and Stacy ,

    The big move!

Welcome! we also live in seaford rise, its lovely:) theres a few hairdressing shops in colonades which is only 10-15 minutes away, you may be lucky there. good luck with the move, im sure you will be very happy:)
  20. Hi my daughter goes there, she loves it! its a brilliant school, teachers are wonderful and go out of their way to help your child settle in. she has made lots of lovely friends, has a lot of homework but is doing really well. Fees are reasonable compared to some other schools ,so iv been told( still hard to get used to when you have never paid them before:/ good luck, claire.
  21. Hi my daughter started there in january, she loves it!! they interviewed us and my daughter but it was all in the same room, they asked us about religious beliefs and if we were willing to learn about theirs, also her past school, what was she good at? does she like sport etc.. most of it was like an informal chat. very nice teachers there, they cant do enough to help your child settle in, good luck.
  22. so sorry to hear that, it must be really hard for you:( i have left my two sons in the uk aged 20 and 23, they have their own lives and as much as i miss them at least they will always have the oppertunity to come here whenever they want. my 15 yr old daughter is with us and has been very up and down settling in but finally seems to be getting there, thank god, its such a worry isnt it? your son may go back and then realise he misses australia you never know! hope everything works out for you, im always here if you need a chat.x
