Our PR was granted last week and we are expecting a first new born later this year. I understand that a child born to parents with PR become Australian citizens. Is my understanding correct? Also how do we apply for the citizenship of the new born and can we get a Australian passport for the new born. Appreciate your guidance

Hi everyone, Appreciate your advice on this. My application includes myself as primary applicant and my spouse as secondary applicant. When I log into my Immi account and check attachments I notice that under "Relationship - Spouse, De facto Partner Evidence of" my agent has not uploaded my marriage certificate. However, under "Relationship - Relative Evidence of" my marriage certificate is attached by my agent. Is this correct or should my agent upload my marriage certificate under section Relationship- Spouse, De facto Partner of evidence of". Also it shows that 0 documents received for "Form 956 advice by a migration agent" is this correct should agent upload form 956.

Hi everyone, Looking for your advice again. If immigration sends any correspondence to my agent will it immediately show on the messages screen of the IMMI account I have imported that correspondence has been sent to agent. See screenshot. Appreciate your advice.

We are currently assessing applications submitted before May 2020 New update on website shows assessing applications submitted before May 2020. This has changed from Feb 2020 to May 2020 . Processing time changed to 16 - 20

Hi everyone, I have applied through an agent and as a result would not get any correspondence from DOHA. My question is how do I know if correspondence is sent to my agent with any queries, results? Will it show on my IMMI account that correspondence has been sent to my agent. Asking as my agent is very inefficient and does not reply to even my emails queries for weeks. I am worried that email correspondence to agent from DOHA also will be responded by agent only weeks after receiving. Any advice?

Hi all, Appreciate your advice on this. After reading this very helpful forum I am now attempting to complete PTE to provide evidence for functional English for myself as Primary applicant. According to requirement for functional English do I need to score An overall band score of at least 30 for each of the 4 test components of PTE. This may be a stupid question but would it be advantageous to score very high marks for PTE. Would this help in getting a direct grant and faster processing time. Alternately is it that the score does not matter as long as I score the overall band score of at least 30 for each of the 4 test components. Asking as I am short of time to prepare for PTE and wondering if it is worthwhile breaking the little rest I have to score high. Thanks so much

My question is if I move interstate to South Australia which is classified as regional will this affect my 887 visa. Would this be a negative point towards the 887 visa ? Would this cause a delay in processing my 887 application ? If there are no issues in moving can you let me know the step by step procedure ? (eg: submitting change of circumstances, Updating IMMI account, Notifying any department) Thanks so much

I applied a couple of months back for 887. I am now in the process of gathering documents and information to add new born who is expected in a few months

Thanks for the info. Actually the baby is not born yet. The due date is a few months away. I am just planning all documentation so I can add baby into application as soon as born. Cheers

Thanks so much for all the information. Additionally do I have to submit any documents/letter from the doctor for new born. I notice on this forum there are comments about letter from GP and appointments with BUPA. Thanks so much

Also on form 1022 I will just include under question 14 under "new correct details" the below BIRTH OF NEW BORN CHILD AFTER SUBMISSION OF 887 VISA APPLICATION FAMILY NAME OF NEW BORN: XXXXXX GIVEN NAME OF NEW BORN: XXX XXXXX DATE OF BIRTH: XX MONTH 2020 Do I have to add the details of new born under question 13 "Details of other applicants" Thanks so much
