Just a quick question.. do the photocopies (certified) need to be in colour - specifically the passport ones?

Nope certified copies dont need to be in colour (the certification stamp says true copy of original so black and white or colour is fine)- but wondering why you are going the paper application route rather than the online route which is quicker? Then all you would do is scan your passport photo page and upload that - no certification required if it is in colour.

I'm doing it all online, but thought they had to be certified still - aaargh what a waste of time if not. Oh well - at least it shd be quite straightforward then!!!!

If you send a colour scanned copy you dont need to certify it. I didnt certify any of my documents and it was accepted without question so dont imagine you will have any problems.
