I see that you are from UK. So, I'm guessing your wait will be much shorter than mine. I came across a forum in PIO saying something about external security checks done by ASIO, outside of DIAC. And since I'm from a high risk country, it may post a delay to my application. And this saddened me. So near yet so far.

 

We're hoping to go in October this year. So I am just hoping for the best.

Noticed on your post you have requested a police cert from australia.

We also have to do this as we spent 12 months there.

We are due to post this off tomorrow. Would you recommend sending it via dhl or the royal mail? Were not so much in a rush but we where thinking about the 28 day timescale. Any advice would be appreciated.

We just sent it normal post!!! on 25/05... they recon it will be about 3 weeks to come back in total!!! As soon as you get them back they can be uploaded or sent to agent so hopefully there will be enough time within the 28 day period!!!

Thanks for your reply! We are just waiting for my bank to issue the aussie cheque then we can get it sent. So were looking about 3 weeks, that should be fine. I suppose as long as we keep our CO informed it should be ok even if it goes over the 28 days. Fingers crossed!

At last! A little bit of good news!

I've just spoken with the clinic that did our meds and apparently they've heard from the e-health IT dept and the error attached to my file has been sorted! So, my results can now be uploaded tomorrow when the dr comes in!

Also, she gave me the tracking number for Noah's meds that were couriered and I've just checked and they were received in Sydney this morning! Woohoo!

 

I feel a bit sad getting so excited over something so small but we finally seem to be seeing some progress!

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm really annoyed, when our agent asked for the extra tax documents for our CO I called Gavins accountant the next morning & he organised the documents, I picked them up that day and scanned them into an email the same night to our agent. This was last Thursday....

 

Well I emailed the agent yesterday saying that our meds had been finalised and was the CO happy to accept the documents we sent. Agent replied (late afternoon as always so i was in London by then) saying she hadn't recieved the second email I'd sent (docs wouldn't fit on one) and could I resend. Clearly she hadn't done anything about my email last week so it was complete waste of time me rushing to get it to her. What would have happened if I hadn't chased it up? I have resent them this morning & have asked for confirmation of receipt but still no reply. I know they are busy but this is the 3rd time my agent has slowed down the process and not done things without me chasing them up. First time was during the ss process when I asked for them to make sure they had everythng they needed before we were going on holiday for 10 days so that I could go away knowing our ss had been lodged. Got an email while we were away asking for docs so had to wait til we got back. Then I double checked they had requested the ss form sent to DIAC after the application was lodged & all of a sudden I got notification it had been done (bit of a coincidence and several days after it should have been done). Now this. I'm just so fed up with not being able to do things myself & for things taking so long. I get them everything they ask for in super speed time & then they take their time.

 

Sorry for the rant but it's sooooo frustrating and am realy fed up with it as I'm checking the timeline for my visa only to find out they haven't even received the relevant documents so have completely wasted my time! Plus if they request extra documents I want to know asap so I can get it sorted. When we sent the first set of docs the CO asked for I asked the agent if they were sufficient and she said they were fine, clearly she didn't check as they've asked for more stuff that we could have sorted out weeks ago.

 

I'm sooo relieved we did the AQFIII & the skills assessment on our own!

 

I just want this nightmare to be over.

Cara, how frustrating. After paying them so much money you expect them to do their job properly. I think you should keep chasing your agent, she will get fed up in the end and just want you to get you your visa. Hang in there you are so nearly there. Nicki

I just feel frustrated because I felt I could have done it myself but i got the agent to make the process less stressful and to make sure things were done properly! They are a good agent in the fact they know there stuff but they are very slow in response times and you have to double check everything as they sometimes miss things which kind of defeats the object!

 

She usually replies late afternoon so I'll give it another hour or so and then I'll send another email chasing as I really need to make sure those docs get to the CO tonight or it's another day wasted!
