Hi all,

I've heard the markets in south Oz are a good way to save money, while getting some great produce. Most of us have heard of and probably been to the Central Market but i thought if anyone can list any other good markets, along with time/place etc. I'm sure theres lots of interest out there.

thanks

Central market is good if you live near to the city or work in the city but if you live outside the city by time you travel there pay for parking petrol you end up not saving anything. Unless you stay where the market is your not saving anything. There are markets at pooraka Sunday 6 till 1,farmers market Adelaide show grounds goodwood Sunday 9-1 Willings farmers market Sat 8-1230 Christies market every two weeks. Used to be one at Torrens island not sure if that one is still there that was very cheep.

The brownies are fab aren't they? If you head back down this way next weekend there is also the Quarry Market - it's on the 2nd Saturday of of every month 9am-1pm

  • 2 weeks later...

Last time we went to the brickworks it was very......empty!! A lot of the stalls were closed...and has apparently been that way for a while. Woolworths have just bought the site though and are going to make it into a shopping mall with Woolworth and other 'speciality' shops!!! But one of the conditions is that they have to keep a portion of the markets!!
