Looking to go to Melbourne next March.

Any recommendations of places to stay in or near the city please?

Look at Expedia or Tripadvisor for reviews of hotels or you could download the app listed on my signature - loads of hotels listed for all the major cities. We went to Ponyfish island for snacks and drinks - it's a lovely little place on the river and for the real deal, a fab meal at Rockpool in the casino. Enjoy your trip

we have stayed at Tribeca apartments a few times, they have always been great.

shortstay apartments in Southbank are where we always stay. It's a short walk over the river to the CBD and these apartments usually have a pool.
