We've just got our visa!

Hi everyone,

 

Just to say that FINALLY we received our visa today (16th April) after what has seemed like a never ending wait!:jiggy:

 

This should give hope to all of you out there who are July/ August applicants (we applied in July).

 

Our house is sold and we have booked our one way flights, leaving in two weeks time. Can't wait to get out there.

Jan ’07 – Decided we wanted to go and live in Australia!

Feb ’07 – Teaching skills assessment sent off.

Apr ’07 – Teaching skills approved.

May 21st ’07 – Applied for South Australia sponsorship online.

July 12th ’07 – Received sponsorship from South Australia.

July 20th ’07 – Online visa application sent off.

Oct 30th ’07 – Case officer allocated.

Nov 20th ’07 – Medicals done and police checks sent.

Feb 18th ’08 – Medical done for our new baby.

Apr 16th '08 - Visa Granted (YIPPEE!!)

Thanks everyone, for your kind messages. We will keep in touch with PIA - don't know what we would have done without the encouraging/ advisory comments from PIA members when we have felt down in the dumps about our visa application!

 

Good luck all of you who are still awaiting your visas. Your time WILL come. We thought ours would NEVER come but it did, just when we did not expect it!
