Right all you wise and wonderful people ,

we are arriving in November( bit daft as holiday season just about to kick in!!.) and are looking for short term accommodation for 2-3 weeks whilst we settle in and look for a permanent base , needs to be close to transport links and amenities (ie pub!) whilst we have both just turned forty:arghh: we still think were 21, hence looking for more south of France than magaluff , although magaluff prices would be nice,. Any advice on areas to be or to avoid would be great.

looking forward to meeting for a well deserved cold beer.........

p.s no jokes about being forty.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you wanting to be close to the beach for the 2-3 weeks or are you happy to be anywhere? If you aren't bothered about being close to the beach then I'd suggest the CBD (can't get better than that for transport links) or somewhere like Norwood or North Adelaide. If you are after a beach side location then somewhere like Henley Beach, Brighton or Glenelg.

Hi I second suggestions of Glenelg or Henley Beach if you want beach side (also consider Brighton and Semaphore) or the city, Norwood or North Adelaide too. Also look at Unley/Hyde Park area - close to city, shops and restaurants etc, nice areas.

Air BnB is a great website and you may be able to negotiate longer term prices for a few weeks. If not have you considered a cabin in a caravan park (Adelaide Shores between Glenelg North and West Beach is a great spot if you have transport).
