struggling to find work

hi im really struggling to find work no one even gets back to me when i hand out resumes. any suggestions i work in hospitality so will do resterant, bar or cafe work but anything would be a help right now.

Where are you staying?

A lot of the local retailers take on additional people for the festive season but that's just a temporary fix.

This time of the year is the busiest for new family arrivals but it's also the most difficult period to get anything done regarding jobs and long term accommodation.

I hope that there's someone on here who can give you a lead.

There is an agency in the city - Pinnacle People - that specialises in hospitality work. Worthwhile registering with them. The Adelaide Oval were advertising recently as well if you are able to get there for work (my daughter works there, but you would need to either live nearby or have your own transport as some of the shifts are quite late)

 

Definitely register at that agency though, and if you don't already have it, get your RSA certificate; food hygiene certs and first aid are also useful.

thank you for the advice. i live in woodcroft but am willing to travel its a little alkward because i dont drive i have an rsa which is a help. i just hate the fact that they dont even say you havent been succesful with your application. im hoping to move but need a jop with a steady income to do so which is annoying.

my advice is to go in face to face with resumes, that seems to work best here, good luck :-)

Walk in to Adelaide convention centre they always have work, but they somehow never advertise. Try your luck their. All the best.

KFC in Anzac Highway (opposite the Ashford Hospital) has a banner outside that says "now hiring" (or words to that effect). Might be a short term solution.
