Hi guys i applied on Sep 2018 through agent and got first contact on dec 2019 and Agent did complain twice but nothing happened. So i askes agent to give a call to immigration once to follow up but agent told me that he cant give a call there instead he ask me to give a call. So my Question are:

Is it actually worthy to give them a call??

And even if i give them a call what should i ask them except whats going on with my case?

Your ans will be really appreciated.

Find some interesting facts from the new FOI and the tracker.

You can get a rough idea of how many applications by doing this calculation from the first FOI above:

3154 applications will have 7878 applicants (include primary and secondary).

7878 divide 3154 = 2.5

So one application will have an average of 2.5 applicants.

They have granted 1407 applicants between 1st Jan 2020 to 30th April 2020,

1407/ 2.5 = 563 applications

On the tracker it shows 138 grants between 1st Jan 2020 to 30th April 2020,

563/138 = 4

Therefore only 25% applicants post grants on the forum/Facebook/chat group

Based on the current trend, we see average of 5 grants posted per day,

Actual applications granted per day = 5 x 4 = 20

Total applicants on hand as of 30/04/2020 is 9149, I think they would have cleared another 600 by now, so they should have around 8500 applicants on hand as of today.

8500/2.5 = 3400 applications

To clear 3400 applications, with an average of 20 grants per working day.

3400/20= 170 working days

Average working days per month = 21.7

170/21.7 = 7.8 months

So it is in line with my previous prediction.

If they continue this speed and we are seeing at least 5 grants per day, they will clear all applications within 8 months. Seems positive :)

Also, from this FOI you can tell that the average 887 applicants (include primary and secondary) lodged each month is 500,

One application will have an average of 2.5 people. (See calculation above)

500/2.5 = 200

So each months the department receive 200 applications.

Average grant per day is 20,

200/20 = 10 working days.

So it will take them 2 weeks to clear one month’s applications. Therefore you can make your own calculation how long you will need to wait for your grants :)

Totally agreed with your estimation. I also come up with the same number as yours.
