I used to be a silent member and thought it's a courtesy to give you an update on my case:

 

28 Sept - Applied for 887 from 489

24 Dec - CO asked for permanent medicals (don't know why, previously for 489 I had only given temporary medicals maybe that's why)

04 Jan - Medical appt.

05 Jan - Medicals Finalised. Replied to CO and checked 'Information Provided' button

06 Jan - Got my PR E-mail.

 

Thanks to this forum, it helped me make the process quicker.

Hi Guri14, well it took 3 months and 12 days for me. now I Believe immi people taking minimum 3 months to process applications. Even today morning I checked my stats on immi account, saying same as usual "application received" on immi eco website its been showing like " application being processed further since the first day I applied".

 

wish you will hear some good news very soon, but nothing in our hand mate, we just got to wait.

My suggestion is apply for a new passport ASAP and tell the case officer about your passport and expiry. See how you go. May be attach the receipt once applied new passport.
