I got my direct grant on 18 jan applied on 30sep . i went to Medicare office next day for applying my medicare and i have been told we are all aligible for medicare once we applied for PR (887) . what you need just bridging visa letter you got from DIBP . they will give you a temporary medicare card until decision not made for application . i thought may be few people don't know about this . goodluck everyone.

So so true it's very expensive I paid 400$ for my son in December. Finally got my PR last month and had a very if relief.......best of luck to you .......... I hope you can get your grant tomorrow . Good luck

i call to immigration waited 1hour 15 mintues ,and same answer processing time 6 months you have to wait......
