Job on 489 Visa

Hello Everyone,

I just joined the forum and this is my first post. I've currently applied for 489 Visa and awaiting CO contact.

I wanted to get a feedback from the users here from living in Adelaide city regarding getting a job on 489 Visa. I mean, do the employers give a lot more prioroty to people on PR visa rather than someone on 489 TR visa?

Any feedback or comments in this regard will be appreciated. Thanks

Some jobs require you to be permanent resident or citizen but you can find jobs with 489 with no issues. It’s the getting local experience that will be hard for you, not the visa.

Just wondering if you applied before 16 Nov 2019? As 489 had been closed since 16 Nov 2019.

Based on my personal experience, got my first job after 2 months landed on 489. Just keep applying jobs, get someone to look at your resume and touch up for you may help too.
