  1. Hi Scotth, I didn't submit any passport photo and got grant, guess it was not compulsory (it was not in the checklist either) Cheers
  2. No, we don't need to re-apply. Just make sure they have your updated address in immi. I have been using my interim card without any issue (it is still valid). My friend got their permanent Medicare card automatically without re-applying. Cheers
  3. We don't have to apply for Medicare card again, it will be sent before your current one expires
  4. Just wondering if you applied before 16 Nov 2019? As 489 had been closed since 16 Nov 2019. Based on my personal experience, got my first job after 2 months landed on 489. Just keep applying jobs, get someone to look at your resume and touch up for you may help too.
  5. They asked for further evidence for the new address, didn't ask specifically payslip. I provided whatever can prove my new address and payslip is one of the evidence I provided.
  6. Hi Roma, yes we had been asked to provide further evidence of the new address, so we provided new payslips, credit statement, tax assessment etc of the new address.
  7. You probably can get fixed term full time job (contract) but not on going full time job (permanent). I experienced it so I know the problem with 489 or any temporary visa is, there's an expiry date on the visa.
  8. If they are moving too, then change for theirs also.
  9. we moved after fulfilling 2 years stay in first regional area and after submitted application. CO contacted and asked for evidence of the new regional address, so we provided evidence of the new address, eg lease agreement, notice of assessment, letter from Medicare, Vic road of licence renewal, water/electricity/gas bills for the period, payslips for the period (all in one PDF file). Be careful if you are moving from regional to another regional before the end of 489, continue gather evidence as they are likely to ask for it.
  10. Ya you can move to another regional on 489. I did it 1 year before I was granted PR.
  11. Just provide what they asked. Did you provide any bank statement from 2016? Must provide the one with salary and hopefully with daily expenses too. Did you mention the 2nd job in form 80? I reckon u don't need to provide evidence for second job but make sure it's consistent to form 80, as they may question why there's salary from other sauce (as per bank statement) but not mentioned in form 80. Just my 2 cents.
  12. Hi Andy, seems like they may be suspecting you work/live in metropolitan during your 489. They are specifically asked for 2016-18 notice of assessment and bank statement from 2016 and also current employment. Did you change job or move interstate? They also asked for my more residential evidence even I have provided everything for the 2 years period. So I further provided them what they requested and also current employment and current residential proof.
  13. Hi wrussell, not sure why are you asking him/her to check 187 nomination? He/she is asking about 887 visa though. Hi arrogant_mobi, you may want to search in the 887 main topic "887 Visa - What's the update? " many people have gotten their 887 visa approved doing taxi/uber driver jobs.
  14. if the GP has bulk bill, you don't have to pay anything. Try looking for those with Bulk billing, otherwise, you have to pay a portion of it.
  15. have you already met the 2 years residential requirement? If not, it won't allow you to apply online (as you are not eligible yet). But you can start preparing for the application, example scan the documents required and save in your computer ready to be submitted. Once you have all the criteria, you have all the doc to be submitted.
  16. Yes they may ask more doc about the new address. That happened to us. You can get your brother to prepare a stat dec when did you start living with him, school report, credit card statement/ bank statement in new address, copy of driver's licence, super, payslip etc..Any document that can proof the new address.
  17. What I understand is, they will send a new medicare card to you and family once your PR is approved. Don't have to do anything
  18. GRANT GRANT GRANT!!! Just received the blood-diamond golden mails not long ago PR for 2 of us Applied on 4/6/2018 Moved interstate to another regional area in Nov 2018 - didn't get release letter, but updated the new address in immi. First contact 13/6/2019 by CO Grant asked about more residency evidence and proof of change of name (trust me, I have supplied enough evidence for residence but I believe may be due to we moved interstate, so they wanted more evidence to prove that we did not live/work in city) As for the change of name, I have supplied AFP with my name as in passport and English name as some of the employment contract and work reference have my English name, however, the CO thought I have changed my name so I have prepared a stat dec to declare the matter) I have made 2 complaints, one in Sep and one in Oct. Grant today by CO Wilson
  19. Hi Grace, did you submit IELTS result? It's only valid for 1 year as far as I understand. . That could be the reason?
  20. Hi Ashi, you can try reduce/compress the size of your doc using some free website. You can even merge multiple files into one. I have been using ilovepdf.com (I'm sure there are others too) to merge some doc into 1 file (eg payslips, bank statements) and compressed some very big megapixel files... I think it's easy to use. Hope this helps
  21. FIRB is now $5700. The first home owner grant is only applicable to new homes in Victoria. Sorry guys, we should be talking about PR grant, not first home owner grant at this point
  22. Just checked some articles online. It's almost impossible for me to buy a property without a PR status, too much hassle (need to get approval from Foreign Investment Review Board (FIBR) and too costly (FIBR fee and higher stamp duty).
