    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi Rita, sorry to hear that but don't panic.. Have you fulfilled the 2 years residency and 1 year working experience requirements? Did you take any leave during the 2 years period?

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi Russki, Did you submit the PCC from the UK when you submit your application? If yes, did you get a new PCC or it was the same one for 489?

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Thanks Russki, my situation is very similar to yours, left home country more than 10 years and live in another country before moving to australia... and yes i have this feeling that i should get the home country pcc as i had never submitted it before for 489... I guess 489 and 887 got different requirements, after all 489 is just a temporary visa and 887 is a permanent one. So that make sense that we do need one from our birth country if it was never provided before. Thanks again.. i shall go back to gather evidence again (sigh). Hope it won't take that long. Cheers.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi mate, I didn't submit a PCC from my home country and it was not provided in my 489 application (As I was over overseas for more than 10 years before the 489). Should i get one now? Is there an international PCC that i can get (read somewhere in the forum there's international AFP/PCC?) I was thinking to wait till CO request for one...(confused)

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi Rabea, sorry to hear about your first application had been rejected. May I know if you have provided evidence that you have stayed 2 years (730 days) for the 1st application? meaning, did you provide evidence to support your residential of 2 years period? (tenancy agreement, bills..etc)

    887 Visa - What's the update?

you can apply Medicare card after you have lodged 887.. They will issue you a temporary Medicare card which lasts for 1 year (from your 887 application date). You should receive it within 2 weeks after you applied for the Medicare. Once your 887 is approved, you will then receive the 'permanent' Medicare card, you do not need to apply, they will send to you automatically once 887 is approved.
