  1. Went for a family walk up at Morialta Conservation Park, and a cute little baby koala came down to say hello..
  2. Hi all. This is probably a long shot, as an upholster doesn't seem to be on the list of jobs in demand for South Australia. The company where I work is seeking an qualified upholster. We manufacture commercial office furniture, based in North Plympton, near Adelaide Airport. We have the position advertised elsewhere, but can't fill it. If you or anyone you know is interested, please get in touch and I can pass your info on. Just some info on me, I'm a pom and been with this company for 3 years now. I can honestly say it's the best place I have worked in the last 5 years I've been in Adelaide, and I've had 5 jobs here. Cheers. Paul.
  3. There is one going up in Parafield gardens too, drove past the site at the weekend. I heard through a supplier of the commercial fridges for aldi, that over the next 5 years they plan on 51 aldi's in SA.
  4. You get used to it, I was the same when I came over last year, panicking every trip I made. Now I don't let it bother me, I do keep a keen eye on the mirrors and blind spot though. And I bought a jeep to be that little bit safer. Don't speed though, the rozzers will come down hard on you, and they are hiding everywhere with speed camera's.
  5. Clipsal 500... A day of car races, or do the 4 days. Where else can you watch porches, american stadium trucks, v8 super cars, Ferrari, classic GT cars, AND a Ferrari F1 car.. All going flat out racing around city streets. You can spend all day watching the races, and stay for the night concerts, all for the sum of $99.. The foo fighters are in town tonight too, I can here the bass I tiny bit in the distance.
  6. We are all well thanks snifter, 6 week old baby at home keeping us all on our Feet. First Ozzy in our family..
  7. Bit of an old car to ship over, especially with all the costs and red tape. Someone must really love their car..
  8. Yes they are trade plates, so this car fresh off the boat I imagine
  9. Saw this car today driving up grand junction, had to do a double take. Not every day you see a car with UK plates in Adelaide...
  10. Maybe try bae systems, Mawson lakes. Similar thing?
  11. Hi there. I'm not a builder or carpenter etc, but spend a lot of time on building sites. I can say honestly there is a huge amount of construction going on, the two big sites I work on are lightsview and St clair. I guess you would have to work for the big building companies to get a job. Cheers.
  12. Hi, I am after a bigger car seat for my daughter, but I didn't think you could use a child seat from the UK?, it needs to be a seat that meets oz standards I think..
  13. There are so many funny plates out on the roads, I saw uplonka the other day. Lots of uk football clubs too, MUFC, NUFC
  14. You can claim for rental assistance from centre link if you have a child under a certain age, and also it depends on your wage too.. Not sure on the age, have a look on their website.
