Evening all I am currently in the UK & a permanent resident but since I left Oz 2 years ago (was always my intention to come back). But since then I have married my husband, who came to visit Australia on holiday last year, we are putting feelers out on moving back over. Has any other PR people managed to get a visa for their hubby too? He is 49 not sure if age has anything to do with it. Thanks in advance for your help in getting this started. Sue

Hi all, hoping anyone can help, I do fifo work overseas (4 weeks on 4 off) hence with visas everytime for the country I work in going into my passport its well on its way to being full. I goggled the UK passport office & you can get extra pages in if you send it back to UK but the time lines they give to UK & here will not be enough for my travels. I plan to go back to UK for a visit in October time & I could pop down to Durham book a appointment to get it done on the day if I can't do it here, if anyone knows or heard of this. My passport does not expire until 2019 & because I have been a ping ponger over the years & now working overseas my citzenship is just a pipe dream atm! As all the time out of the country just gets added on. So just would like to know if I can get extra pages without sending my passport away back to the UK, maybe embassey over here, just like Australia House in London where we went to get our visas put in our passports back in 2009? Cheers all, Sue

Anyone from Stirling or surrounds to help answer some questions?
Sue29 replied to Julia Skinner's topic in Welcome
Hi Julia I lived in Stirling for 2 & a bit years and loved it still do. Climate yes it is a few degrees cooler and winters are...a bit cold if you live there you need a wood burning stove in your house. Bush fires can also be a problem, but......Its lovely very family friendly they have a market once a month where everyone sees there neighbours, the shops are lovely and dont get me started on the Stirling Hotel many a enjoyable afternoon / night spent there. I found the libray was very child friendly I dont have children but when first moved there used the computers for internet and there was always some kind of groups going on. I have a car but I worked close to the CBD and 20 mins on a good day to work, but could take 30 minutes. Mt Barker is in the other direction and has all the usual shops / movies if you dont want the city. Other areas at the bottom of the hill (freeway) are Burnside great shops and then onto the Parade again great shops & restaurants. So yes I can recommend that area of the hills, so just hollow if you want any further info. Cheers Sue -
