they sound good ill give them a try in a week or so when ive got car ..i was going to go to the 10.30 one only because the other session over dinner time and my daughter is a food monster !!!!!

hi my OH is an electrician and we come over on 22nd september 2011 on 176 visa. he has over 22yrs in domestic,commerciall and industrial and has recent experiance in solar power.he is looking for a full time post so if anyone knows of any one that could help that would be fantastic

i wonder if anyone can help me? a few months ago i saw a really helpful list on PIA but i cant find it on the forums.it was about what to do before you go...like cancell bank accounts,insurences,milkman etc if anyone can help me find it that be great thanks!

Hi Carolyn we are booking flights today!! We are hoping to get flight on 22nd sept as we have a short term rental from the 23rd sep in Christies beach for 8 weeks so hopefully we can find a long term rental and OH a job !! Omg so much to sort out here just enjoying the moment untill reality kicks in!!!!eeeekkk

cant belive im writing this but i am..... our agent called our visa is granted!!!! still in totall shock as yesturday i decided i wasnt going to think of that V word this week!!!! going to trail the net tonight and book those god dam flights for september!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooo hooooo im so excited im not going to forget the 4th july!!!our lucky day:biglaugh: bubbly will be opened when hubby gets home from work these last few months have draged but so worth it in the end going to be running around like a headless chicken now and writing loads of lists!!!! :goofy:good luck to those who are still waiting.....its the best feeling in the world!!

hi just asking some advice ....we had email today to say our medicals were posted to oz 2 days ago and take 3-4 days to get there.how long after do you get your visa?? and has anyone been refused one at this stage??i know everyone different were on a 176 state sponser as oh is electrician any information will be much appreciated as i know there are lots on here that are in same boat so its fab to hear all your experiance and know were not the only ones going grey and obsessing over visa..visa visa!!!!

hi just reading this thread and im now really worried about my 13 year old daughter we have got a rentle in christies beach and there seems to be alot of negitives for the christie beach high school why?? is there another high schools in the area we move over in september and im really worried now!!:sad:carolyn

hi im carolyn and we had our medicals on 21st may and police checks all in.havent herd a thing and tracker hasnt changed so we emailed visa people and they said no news is good news cause if anything wrong we would know by now and the next step is visa yes or no!!! arhhhh im living on my nerves and am itching to book flights and were so sick of checking emails every hour!!!! hope were not the only ones living on the edge it seems like eternity waiting ive put the bubbley in fridge .....maybe i should take it out??? ive become addicted to this forum and spend many an evening looking at peoples threads as its so imformative i feel like a stalker!!!! hope theres others like me out there slowly going insane!!!!

hi we are getting a short term lease in sept when we come over in christies beach.i have a 13year old daughter and im also worried about which high school to send her to! she find s some subjects hard but loves sports and anything practical so i wanted to send her to a school that doesnt just concentrate on getting high grades as i know she would hate it?? any advice gratefully recieved

hi my oh is an electrician and we hopefully going over in september as we have done our medicals and police reports so just waiting and hoping !!!! we have been looking at different airlines and see most have a 20kg baggage allowence.we know emerates have a 30kg but we have just flown with them and was not that impressed and they are the most expensive so we were looking at singapore as theres only one stop to which makes it more apealing with 2 kids in tow.. our worris were that my husband needs to take important tools over that he will need straight away so we are worried about going over baggage allowence as ive no idea how much stuff to take as i know most of our belongings will be shipped and take a whille!! much appreciated for any advice on this or anyone elses experiance on getting tools over,airlines,baggage......thanks:goofy:

:)hi just read your post and it mirrors our worries!!! my husband is to an electrician and we are hopping to be out there in january.we are waiting for medicals results and we have sent police checks so its nail biting time these next few weeks for our visa.i wanted one last cold winter before we go but as soon as visa comes i know its going to be hard not to go before!! weve just come back from a reckie in port neulunga and loved it so hopefully we will try for a short term rentle first in that area or christie beach as we are looking at christie high school for our 13yr old daughter.we also have a nearly 3yr old and i also havent a clue about the child bennefit system as we are on a sub class 176 visa.!!!! its all sooo exciting and we cant wait to start a new life there we knew as soon as we saw it that this is where our girls are ment to be brought up..............a long journey but will get there in the end!!!
