  1. Hi guys, Do we have a time limit to take insurance after landing in Australia, on 489 visa? I am not on any insurance for now as I wasn't sure which one will suit us best and it's about two months that we are in Adelaide now. Will this cause any issue during 887 ?
  2. Hi all who helped and took out time to your help... I would appreciate any more suggestions and responses. If I plan to to my home country for delivery, how long I will have to stay there. How long it will take to get the newborn added with in our visa (489 and come back here? If I go for Bupa insurance with 1 year waiting period, after waiting period, will everything free/included (like, routine checkup, x-rays, ultrasound) or there are hidden costs ? Incase any one had similar experience please share your thoughts. Thank you.
  3. Hi All, I really need you help, I am in Adelaide on 489 and it's just been a month. We are planning to extend our family but I am unsure of any health insurance which gives no waiting period or small waiting period for pregnancy cover's. Can any one please help me or guide me the best way to go through this. Bupa or most insurance have 1 year waiting period and I am really not looking to push it to another year due to certain health conditions and having a baby without insurance is again very expensive ( is what I heard till now). I don't know what to do from here, any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Please please add your thoughts:) Thank you!
  4. Thank you Russki for being so proactive always:) Yes I have started collecting bills and have a bank account on my name now. But I have heard that we need to add/show that we are in South Australia. Can you or someone who had similar experience tell me, When we have our newborn delivered, how do I add her in my 489 visa? Will I have to apply for Indian passport from indian embassy or what exactly is the process? Is there a official link or website where I can read the complete process please. Thank you.
  5. Hi Everyone, I am in Adelaide Australia and the journey started quite well for us:) I'm just wondering, that as I am on 489 Visa accompanying my wife, do I need to register myself anywhere in Australia embassy or anywhere online ? And also once we have newborn where do we register them? So that newborn can also get 489 Visa with us and once we apply 886, we get it for all three of us? Thank-you:)
  6. Hi All, being on 489 visa can we visit New-Zealand or we need tourist visa? For tourists visa do we have to get it done from our home country or from Australia? At last, if we want to visit Europe from Australia(while on 489 visa), from where I will apply Schengen visa, Australia or home country? if someone had similar experience and want to share their perspectives/thoughts please:)

  8. Hi All, Can anyone tell me that are 489 visa holders eligible for parental leaves? Also new rules are changing may be government is planning to keep migrants in regional areas for 3 years before applying PR, will it effect people who already(recently) received 489 visa or it will be for new applications? I am worried as we have invested our savings and took this risk with a lot of compromises to have a better future but when we got to know that we are only eligible for 489 we were little disappointed that how the journey going to be in terms of career but thought to take this risk but now when I read news related to 887 visas I get so scared that what will happen by the time we will be eligible :( Will this PR option or 887 visa be there or not by then due new new changes in rules everyday:( Will this straggle pay off? What are your thoughts?
  9. Thank you Nada. I appreciate your time. I have posted my questions on FB too. As people on this page have spent a good time in Adelaide by now. 10. Hi All Seniors, I would really appreciate if someone can guide me with below 3 questions - 1. I need to rent an apartment in Adelaide and I have heard that We need to have some points to get a rented apartment, so how many points do we need and how do I manage to get them? 2. What are the documents I need to get a rented apartment apart from points? 3. What are the best websites/options to search a rented apartment in South Australia(specifically Adelaide)? Thank you in advance for your time:)
  11. Hi Dee, I am a new to this forum world and unsure that if not this forum(where a lot of people have spent a certain amount of time in Adelaide and may have already seen the situations which I am going to, in future) isn't the right platform to take the advise, which one would it be? I would appreciate if someone can guide me please as my motive is not to disturb anyone on this forum by asking irrelevant questions. I just feel that you must have had these questions once in your mind when you started your journey too. If you are able to make your way till here and have the opportunity to help someone like me to make their journey easier then you may not get much in return but a lot of blessings from those people whom you helped by spreading knowledge and experience you have earned. At-last, a big THANK YOU for guiding and advising me, I value and appreciate your time. It is certainly going to add value to my future decisions:)
  12. Hi All, First of all I wish all of you receive your visa soon:). I have applied for 489 visa which I received recently and we are planning to move to Adelaide in April. I was wondering if - We can stay in Adelaide and do Work from home for company which is located in another state lets say Melbourne Victoria till we do not find a job in Adelaide? Can a company shift us from 489 to permanent visa(186 company sponsored) while we are on 489? What is the best localities(safe and in city) to look for a rented home? Do we have to pay something extra in advance to Landlord/Owner for renting the house apart from rent (as a security deposit)? What is the best way to secure a job in Adelaide, through companies or Are there any consultancies for IT sector? What is the best way to get my resume with cover letter done to secure a job in Adelaide Australia, Can someone refer a company or site who helps to get it done? Thank you so so much in advance for helping me out :).. Dear Seniors, Your answer is going to help me plan things well, please support ..
