  1. No worries.. Article looks good.. At least the message has been conveyed to the DHA. Lets hope some progressive action takes place. Reading the article realized that we are handful of ppl at least if we consider the tracker.. 800 odd.. which constitutes to only 10% of the total applications. Some things to consider, The processing time will gradually reduce in next 8 to 10 months , as the number of applications start to reduce Lodge all documents correctly, in order to make your application 'decision ready' Some of the basic stuff, Provide Police clearance for home country and Australia for all applicants above the prescribed age (Renew it is over 12 months only AFP) Form 80 is required/ English for Secondary Applicants is required ( Letter from University/ valid English Test results) Nevertheless great work guys to get this addressed. A step in the right direction. Be hopeful.
  2. One more direct grant !.. I think that will be the case going forward. The number is going up daily now. Congrats !
  3. Thank you No Dramas.. It was a team effort. I just contributed where I could in a meaningful way. If the issue gets addressed, It would be the best outcome. Cheers.
  4. SBS Update 18/09/2019: I have what I needed for the online article. I am hoping to be able to put it out this afternoon. However, a Punjabi speaker applicant, if available, will be great for the radio interview. Let me know if there’s one. Is there anyone who can speak to him on the radio show. He has requested for a specific speaker with a language requirement.. It will be really to good if any one who can contribute to this cause and take this topic to be hosted via one more channel(Radio). Please contact Shamsher.Kainth@sbs.com.au for further details on this. Thank you to everyone who have taken time out to help this cause for the larger interest of the group. It has been a "great effort" by all of you, to bring this to a point where a media house is covering this topic. Much appreciated. Hope there is some positive impact on the processing timelines. At least we are seeing a increase in the numbers over last two days. Hopefully we could have answers to our question. Please do keep a eye on SBS this afternoon. Thank you.
  5. Looks like it will be happening soon... Most of them are getting direct grants, which is good news.
  6. @Stellajane you should be next in line..
  7. Please share your story at - shamsher.kainth@sbs.com.au, thanks
  8. @Angry Coder Great, Hopefully as a team a strong case can be put forth for publication.
  9. Further SBS Update: "I am hoping to be able to put this one out some time this week. But I will have to wait for a response by the Home Affairs Dept." This has now reached HAD to provide responses on the delays and address the issue. So guys please contribute as much as you can .. we can expect some action here this week. Hopefully an positive outcome.
  10. Update from SBS: "I’m on it. I spoke to one of the applicants last week and Will speak to more today and in the coming days." Thank you to all who took time out and contributed for this.Let's hope for the best. Its good to see members coming out and addressing the issue. Clear explanation about the issues faced in this process, will only make this case strong.

  12. It was the same id he responded back..so the email is correct. If you have sent it he should receive it on that email.

  17. Team, Here is the latest update from SBS. Can any two ppl who have shared their story or will share the story can provide the details to Shamsher and talk to him. They are happy to talk to and cover the story both on radio and web. Encourage at least two ppl @Stellajane @KC01 @Doman @Dee to speak to them at the earliest and please keep this forum updated. He has already mentioned that identity will be kept in confidence. "If there are any concerns about the applicants being identified, I am happy to take those concerns into consideration." I am back at work today and will start working on this story. We’ll love to talk about the issue on the radio but this segment is pre-recorded, so we’ll keep your issue for another day. In the meanwhile, as I requested before, I need the phone numbers of at least a couple of people to speak to for both my article and radio show. For the latter, I’d prefer to speak to any Punjabi speakers in your team, since our show is in Punjabi. I did receive a few emails over the last two days and I will begin reviewing them now. Don't worry on the language you can communicate in English as well . So don't put a restriction on this You might receive a response from him. Guys we are getting the much needed help, just some inputs from our side will make this happen.
  18. thought so.. but again ... it is personal information sharing without consent will be not be right.. if individual applicants can share directly it will be the best way to manage this... But keep a eye on this show.. active contribution is required here.
  19. Not related Directly , but some what talks about the processing time of PR visa applications.. keep eye on this radio show coming up tonight ... COMING UPFRI 9:00 PM AEST Punjabi radio Probably call and talk/Facebook comments about your stories.. this is the same guy who is interested in covering the story related to 887 processing delays..
