  3. I need t know the contact details of immigration office and e-mail address to contact them once I reach Adelaide. Today my agent asked me to send a e-mail to DSDimmigrationsaskill for informing them that I was granted a visa and my plans of arrival. Has anyone done this already and do you know whom to contact when you reach Adelaide. I know on state sponsorship visa everyone need to do some surveys and inform the department of any change in address or contact details- I want to know how and where to do that

  9. For IT sector there are jobs which j see on seek.com or on Indeed but again I didn't get any positive response, the reason my friends in Sydney gave me is as I am not present in Adelaide and my resume still shows indian address I don't qualify to be screened even. Yes local experience I'd very important and the skill shortage list has nothing to do with availability of jobs in a specific field in IT as it really generic. I will suggest to start contacting people over LinkedIn as that way you may get a referral or a recommendation which will greatly help. I am coming in the same time in June so we can actually connect there. For transferring money there are no additional charges from NAB jut the regular conversion fees. ANZ has annual charges and transfer fees so NAB is the best option.
  10. I see we have so many experienced IT professional waiting for a job opportunities in Adelaide and just because of luck of no local experience they are not getting jobs. I wanted to float and idea of opening a freelance company and all of can be part of that and start providing the services. I know it's easer said then done. Need to know everyone's thoughts on that.
  11. @Alex you can add dental cover to it as the private cover can be customised let me see the links I have saved and I will share that with you
  12. Yes you can buy private health care before you can arrive, not the one given by the government but private one.
  13. I have friend already living in Sydney and I lived in Adelaide long back so I know how this works their. One thing on JOBs, guys do get too nervous about it. Give it time and you will get that.
  14. Sam, I have quote from SA Health and Medicare/Medibank will buy that in April and see it again. For Bank Account I have used NAB zero expense account no charges at all for opening or maintaining the account.
  15. Hi Lorraine, Have opted the bank account and taken health insurance. As you ca do that even before arriving. For health insurance don't forget to add ambulance cover to it.
  16. Thanks a ton for the much needed feedback
  17. Today we opened Saving account with NAB while we are still in India as wanted to start transferring money before we reach Adelaide in June. Going to send a mail to Glenelg Primary School for Admission and OHSC as they have a waiting list.
