190 skilled nominated visa restriction SA
Amit Malhotra replied to deeoakmahe's topic in Visa's and Migration
Go to the immigration office with the proofs of job applications and rejections or no calls (emails) and say you are not able to get a job in this region and want to move to some other region in the country. Best regional areas are near Sydney... More jobs there. Don't say you will work in Sydney CBT but you will live and work in NSW regional areas. Check the websites form Sydney regional area near the city and opt for those.... My friends have done this and it works always as it's not just your moral responsibility but SA governments as well. Be genuine in your approach and say you want to change and usually (99%) they agree and allow you to do that by lifting the clause and giving you a revised letter/grant -

Starts using LinkedIn - that's what will help you get right connection and get to people in the same industry. These days recruiters do look at LinkedIn for candidates and their profiles. It's useful -

1. Register your arrival with immigration 2. Open bank account - best for you is NAB 3. Get TFN- tax file number 4. Get private health cover (ambulance) 5. Have a safe travel and yes we all are looking forward to meet each other

Yes you are right @Rachie, it has about 51% kids who are non english back ground. @rahul: Most of the good schools are zoned these days and if you are coming in end of August then your kids will be enrolling in term 4 of that year. Call the schools and you will get good support. Ask for there e-mail address so that you can send your questions. Note: August is not a good time for Jobs, I am coming in June and already worried. So prepare yourself for the same. It may get delayed.

I am arriving in June - see my threat arrival planned for June 2015

I called linden Park school and confirmed they will take my daughter who just passed year 3 this month. However they will see if she needs to go in for year 3 or 4 as per her age. We prefer to go for year 3 as she is already a year ahead of her age (8) this month. You can call the schools before yOu arrive and they will support you and will provide any help you want

Looking at the helpful comments, it seems I had a bad plan to get a home for $250 and should aim for $300 per week of rental. I am flexible as have budget to adjust thus amount as well. I hope $300/week for unfurnished home should be ok -

The average rental is about 275 and in 250 there are some okey houses. At least what I can see on the websites... Don't know if that's the reality -

This tells me Linden Park Primary may not be the option then I will start researching again to Brighton Primary or Black Forest as they have good % of non english students -
I was looking at the compare websites and got quote from 2 companies on basic cover with ambulances from NIB is is good. Bupa is great for additional cover as well
