Now that you mention 13....what about a Baker's Dozen.....a dozen is a dozen.....hello.... that's 12 isn't it? Do they get special compensation for being a Baker.

I thought they kept one for tasting / checking it is OK to sell, then they are left with 12.

"Yep,yep,yep,yep,yep................... and so on. Or it sounds like "Yip'yip,yip..."

This makes a person sound so impatient.

Very rude in my eyes

It doesn't happen often Tyke................... but I definitely agree with you on this one, very rude.

The one that really grates with me,and leaves me speechless,is the description of a single punch that has killed some poor soul.Pure Americanism, the phrase 'King Hit'implies the person who delivered the blow is all powerful! How disrespectful to the deceased's family. How disrespectful to the public,to attempt to sensationalise such an act in the Media.Makes me want to vomit.

I only recently found out what this actually meant even though I have been hearing it in the media for a while now. In fact, this forum has increased my knowledge of the term's meaning. Is it American in origin? Apparently you were very unlikely to be convicted of murder from doing this as generally the community don't think you can be killed by one punch, so the perpetrator's defense is that it was accidental and the jury had to find 'not guilty'. However, there has been a big campaign to change this perception, and I think most of us now know that it is possible to kill from one punch (thanks to the media) - so let's hope there are some long term convictions in the future and these people will be shown to be the cowards they are.

There's an advert on the radio and it drives me mad whenever I hear it as the tagline is "exclusively for everyone" WHAT??!!! Can't even remember what they're trying to sell- just enrages me!
