887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi I applied visa on 21st jan at 8 am . but visa acknowledgement shows i applied it on 21st jan .

My two year period starts on 20 jan thats why i applied it on 21st jan but they converted it to 20 jan. IS THERE ANY ONE WHO APPLIED VISA ON THE SAME DATE ON WHICH THERE TWO YEARS COMPLETE.

Hi Preet

I think you applied through email right? Than you don't need to worry as you have that email to prove you applied on 21 Jan. It could be human or system error because its manual process in your case.

Still i would suggest to call IMMI to rectify it.

My 2 years finished on 28 jan but i waited few more days to lodge my app till 1 Feb.

I understand the frustration..came to Australia in 2006 and i applied for 487 in 2009 and got granted in 2013.. waited almost 4+ years for the day and now applied 887 in oct still waiting..PPl in front of us who applied before June got their visas in less than 8 weeks. 2 of my work colleagues atleast got theirs.. so that made me think ours will be the same but contrarily its been a disaster. 16 weeks so far and no news. NO CO ALLOCATED AND NOTHING HAPPENED SO FAR... been in Aus for almost 10 years and still waiting for this golden email. People say patience in my case its been a real test of it. I have seen people come and get residency in less than 3.5 years within this tenure of 10 years.

I really understand mate.. all i can say is stay calm and one day will be our day..

If you believe there is someone called God, He is looking at us and one day we will be bestowed with the blessings.

Never loose hope..

I applied oct25, 2015.

CO allocated today. requested for more information.

They have requested for - Evidence of English language ability - for my partner . I am the primary applicant.

I had applied for my 475 in oct 2011 and got granted in jan 2012. Can i attach the old copy of the IELTS mark sheet.

When i applied for 475 i had submitted my partners IELTS marks sheet.

I think IELTS is valid for only 1 year.. My wife booked PTE test and we had 28 days to reapond we just attached test booking confirmation and provided results later on.. Really not sure if IELTS is valid.. As they must have that in your records but still thry asked for it.. So...

CO allocated today. requested for more information.

They have requested for - Evidence of English language ability - for my partner . I am the primary applicant.

I had applied for my 475 in oct 2011 and got granted in jan 2012. Can i attach the old copy of the IELTS mark sheet.

When i applied for 475 i had submitted my partners IELTS marks sheet.

My understanding is you will have to submit a valid IELTS results. Usually they are valid for 2 years. Please double check the validity period of your IELTs test result and submit if your results are still valid.

I would say call department and double check validity.. If not book IELTS or PTE and send them confirmation of booking ...

Hi GUR14 from JULY 2012 DIAC has extended the validity of IELTS Result from 2 years to 3 years. so IELTS valid for 3 years now....

 

But agree with Sahirchamp ,better call to immigration....

 

At present an IELTS score is valid for a two year period for Australian General Skilled Migration (GSM) applications. From 1st July this IELTS score validity period will be extended to three years. This is part of the numerous changes to the GSM visa program to occur from July 1, 2012.

Shirchamp you are right this needs to be done in last 12 months -- mentioned in immi website. However IELTs website has mentioned it is valid for 2 years (recomended). both links are below.

Yup... Just book a test mate...! Dont send them expired IELTS.. Not worth the effort..
