Dear forum fellows,

Just asking on behalf of my friend. How long can a person stay outside of Oz for holidays on 489 visa? My friend has spent 4 months (2 months each year) out of Oz in total. Can he apply for 887 visa straight after he finished two years or should he wait for few months?

Anyone with personal experience, please advise.

wait few months its better,

 

I know couple of people who applied straight and got rejection and had to apply again.....after 8 month they got rejection and these 8 months doesn't count as it only counts till the day u apply...........and had to wait another 6 months so i think 4 months wait is better than 14 months

Guys, anyone can guide me to whom I can contact for my mail as Team 10 is not responding at all.. its been more than 2 months since my last com with the team and moreover my 6 months are getting over..... this is frustrating.

First co allocated on 28 sep and u gave docs on 7 oct... can u share when he contacted u again for second time??

What a great day today..I got my golden mail..It was direct granted.. Thank you all the people who assisted me in this forum. Thank you 29Aug0887. Hi,

can any one please suggest me about applying 887 (overseas stay). i have completed my 2 yrs in regional area and also worked 1 year full time.but in that two years I went overseas 2 months and 1 week in first year and almost 1 month and 3 weeks in second year. please any one suggest me when should I apply from his personal experience, should I apply now or either i should wait for few months, and also how much time normally the immigration consider in overseas in two years. thanks

You should complete 2 years in Regional area.

Hey guys..congratulations for all of you been granted today.. I need your advise please , I applied for the 887 visa, submitted police check for me and my husband.. my question here is that i have a 17 years old son ,is it also a requirement to have a police check certificate? S

The requirement is u have to give pcc for each country where child has resided for 12 or more months since he turned 16. As he is 17, its upto u to decide whether u want to take risk of CO asking for sons pcc and then wait for CO to check the file again...

Hi Goldfox909, yes I am state sponsored. My advice is for all who applying attached all documents don't wait until CO asked anything leads to wait long..I attached as much as documents and 60 documents for

one person you can attached another 60 if you would like to your dependent if you like. Therefore, think as much as possible what documents you need and attached them even after your application logged to prevent delay.Good luck

Requested below:-

(1). Living in reg. area for 2 years.

(2). Func English for my wife.

 

I've already provided enough evidence of my stay in reg. area and evidence of func english at the time of making an application. I just don't understand why they need more info of the same?

 

This is frustrating. I'm not happy.

Hi Goldfox909 I have been asked similar things. The IELTS for your wife which you provided when was it completed? I had also provided IELTS of my wife which she had completed at the time of 489 application but as per the Immigration guidelines it says that the IELTS should not be older than 1 year from the date of filing the application.

It depends on IELTS score. If all sections were more than 5.0 then it is valid for 3 years, otherwise for 1 year
