Finally waiting game is over, had big fight with them, made complaints today for not responding my emails, my new born bub's health assessment. If everything is ok, why did they play game with us, Dont know the readons but got the golden email today.

 

Applied on- 11 April

C/o - 1 sept

gp letter n Emedical form Submitted for my new born bub-04 Sept

medical examination -12 oct

grant - 02 Dec

I think it would be worthy to lodge complaint ANONYMOUSLY so that the higher officials might know whats exactly happening in this TEAM 10

 

My understanding from the forum data is they are trying to prove that they are sorting files as soon as possible by granting the closer application date and the cases those have not been resolved is due to applicants incomplete application/ further document required. As soon as they ask us the documents, it proves to their higher authority that they went into that file, plus that CO is also securing his/her job with another case to sleep into it/ showing that he / she is busy with so many case (!). I guess that every case officer is keeping minimum nos of pending cases to save/ extend the job contract

 

as per the service standard, the following red line one should be applied to us (whoever is assigned a CO).

 

I'm preferring to lodge the complain as to flag out this issue to them if none of us do not do this, the other immigration office will never know whats really going on inside TEAM 10 and the trick they're following to keep more cases/ files in their hands those they are not capable of. In a previous post Miranda887 mentioned about the other subclass's waiting period and keeping patience. But our subclass does have priority exemption and I do not agree to mix-up our cases with others.

Actual processing times are dependent on a number of factors, such as:

 

  • whether you have provided all necessary supporting documents when you lodge your application
  • how well and how promptly you respond to any requests for additional information
  • how long it takes to complete any required checks on information you have provided to support your application
  • how long it takes to receive additional information required from areas outside the department particularly in relation to health character and national security
  • how many places are available in the migration programme.

Normally,can't complain about the documents as its their rights but can make complaints for not responding your emails after 28 working days. Before making complaints, you must have enough proofs of emails,must remember the dates and tell accordingly what was happened to you.

I just sent an email to Team 10 to remind CO about my case but I found no auto-response email saying the email is received is sent back to me. They don't want to see any more emails from us after we submit further documents.

 

the auto response email just got in. The same one as we got after submitting further document.

My friend applied on october 16 and got his grant today. We have been waiting since june/ july and even some of them from may the system is flawed. Atleast there should be a time frame when the co are bound to make decision or contact the applicant after 28 days

I just rang 133177 -"[h=3]Providing a compliment, complaint or suggestion'[/h]

the gentleman who answered told that " once case officer allocated, you will be put in new queue, waiting for next Co reopen you file. your next case officer wont be the same one who had sent requested doc before. it's normally take 21 days, but really depends how busy they are and how many cases they have...."

 

so.... he just ask me to be more patient.....sad:unsure:

I believe they have changed the rule since the new financial year started. If what the gentleman told you is true, If there's someone who applied on Oct 16 got grant today, that means those who submitted the further documents around Oct 16 should be granted soon. Right?

But don't they follow the service standard of six months now? what if a case has been lodged for more than 6 months because it is put in the new queue? Does it mean they calculate six months from the beginning once again if they ask for further documents?

Its just the formal way to avoid the real scenario. They are receiving the phone calls to save their co-workers rather than being sympathetic to you/us. Moreover they'll be junior officer than the CO. So, we cannot expect more than that from him/ her.

 

In majority of the cases it would be the same CO. There might be a small percentage of possibility. But as per the service standards they'll respond to us after receiving further documents. To avoid our queries or call they set a time limit of 28 days/ six weeks (in my mail they indicated six weeks). As I said before they are trying to prove that the work is being done as fast track by granting closer application date rather than resolving the pending application with RFI. I find this one is a nice office trick which is working well.

 

Anyway that was a good idea to reapply again with the documents.
