Does she have any degree certificate which was done in English.If there is any certificate...that will do.because she is secondary applicant,just need functional English.hope it helps...

Do i need to apply for a new one? or Should i re- send the one i had applied on 19th of OCT? Also they have asked for my husband's employment contract letter which we will have to get it from the employer now.

There is no such information asked regarding my names used before. That is the reason i got an AFP, which was done before with my current name used. Hi Nov14, Yes a year back. And so my name on the passport is with my current name( surname after getting married) So i am confused as the name on my passport and information in my application is what AFP will consider. How am i supposed to get AFP done in my name used before.

Hi VSDK

 

CO requested from us 'functional English' as my wife's IELTS is older than 12 months. There are number of options but I suggest you to do PTE (http://pearsonpte.com) because my wife could get a booking in 3 days and got results in just 24 hours. You have to get 30 marks out of 90 or something (pretty easy). PTE is fully computer base, good to have a good preparation before the exam.

I was in the same boat for my wife. if you wife has completed graduation .. please attach a reference letter from university / institution indicating the medium of instruction was english during graduation .. also attach graduation marks card , degree certificate. If your wife has done masters then u can also get letter from the institution . Attach all these along with IELTS (old score card ) and submit

 

I did the same and within 3 days got PR.
