    Yup, mine too!!!

Think shipping is £20, not sure on the weight limit though, and it is only for clothing, some cosmetics and homeware.

:(Sorry guys but i find it very sad that after deciding to move to the other side of the world to live, to start a new life, then we want to ship clothing from the uk to here.........lets just think about it.............yep as i thought very sad:sad:....next time house prices or petrol go up maybe the same people will be moaning about the cost of living in oz....but at least you 'll be able to ship M&S clothing ..........nothing like the right priorities

Dorothy Perkins also ships to oz now, I think delivery is 10 pounds. At the end of the day if people are willing to pay to ship clothes over then whats the issue, I for one will be ordering something from the websites, I feel I try to embrace the ozzie way of life here but decent shops including clothes for short people! is something I am prehaps not ready to forget about just yet...

This reminds me of a friend form the UK asked if it was cheaper to buy Uggs here and send them to her. Yeah probably they are $20 ish from cotton on.

"Wow" she said "are they proper Uggs???"

What are proper ones I asked, she said the ones with the Ugg lable on the heel.

:arghh: No I said most people are not impressed by lables here they are quite happy to wear $20 uggs from Cotton on:biglaugh:

As for quality I dont find too much problem with the clothes except maybe knickers and socks, they are not as good and cheap as the Uk, but I live here now and who gives a sh** .

But each to their own, if you are happy to pay shipping though what about buying your stuff from very expensive shops here, there are some.

most aussies dont wear socks :biglaugh: thats why they dont have quality socks butthey got some crackin thongs (flip flops) :biglaugh: prices in the uk for clothe are over inflated so why would you want to pay over the odds for clothes and shipping when all you need is shorts and t-shirts :biglaugh:

I disagree. I don't think it's sad to want to buy something you like. What does it matter where it comes from? M&S are obviously trying to fill a gap in the market. It's a global economy these days and life would be very dull if you were limited to buying stuff that is produced locally (although it might help save the planet). Are you saying everyone must buy Australian ? Have people who buy things from Ikea got their priorities wrong??

I don't think my Australian husband is sad if wants to drink some Australian wine (here in England) or buy some Cherry Ripes when he goes to the Australian Shop in London. I don't think that moving to the other side of the world means you have you give up and deny everything from where you've come. Obviously it's important to assimilate into Australian culture - I agree there's little point moving to Oz if you are going to spend all your time socialising with other ex-pats, watching British TV shows (and posting on ex-pat forums!) - but I really don't think there's anything sad or bad about wanting to buy M&S. Let's hope they open some shops, now that would shake up the Australian clothing retailers a bit !! :)

    Well said!

Since moving to Adelaide I have found it very difficult to find a huge range of clothing in petite (short bird) sizes and therefore have to buy normal length and have them turned up and therefore will be looking forward to buying clothes that actually fit me properly. There obviously aren't any short Australian people in Adelaide :-).

.......or people with extra wide feet!!!!!!!!

$200 for shoes that actually fit me, £30 for a similar pair from M&S.....

Also, 3 for 2 discount still applies......

    I rest my case!!! :)
