For sale Large oblong glass outdoor table and 4 high back comfortable weather resistant reclining chairs......$ 100.00 in used but good condition. Does come with a matching parasol stand also, if required..brought from UK 3 years ago. Ideal for someone just arrived here in Adelaide.... HI all, I am gobsmacked as a 40K service at mazda at $ 485.00 eecck ! we have been thinking for looking for a local garage for servicing of our RAV4 too rather that toyota.. sowe have a mazda 3 3 years old and and a rav 4 3 years old that are going to need regualr servcing at a reasonable price "locallly" Can any one please recommond someone reliable and good ???? Thanks vikkiann, My husband did not earn enough in the years we left to pay tax...I dont understand them...I dont undertsant why we have to file a tax return if we were paye !! ?? bloody inalnd revenue...they wsant to spend time chasing the buggers who dont contribute not the people who have never claimed owt ppttfff

Hi fellow poms ! I would be really grateful if you financial wizards out there would help with some advise please. If we received a letter with a fine for 100 pounds times 2 for not lodging a tax return fo April 2008, what can we do about it ? This person is PAYE worked in UK April 2007 to Oct 2007 and left uk for europe for 1 year then onto Australia... This is only for one of us and we are sure we advised them that we both left the the UK as one of us did get a tax rebate !! Any advice please on what to do next ??

Hi All, Would appreciate any tips please ???? We are thinking of getting rid of the expensive FOXTEL as we dont really watch it...we just have it for the footy... What is the best way and palce for watching them via the internet ? If you could download and watch after the match has been played...this would be great cos they are played at night anyway.... My personal opinion is that when people pack up their homes jobs and schools to come here and dont give it a couple of years are mad ! no one should ever expect Utopia.... Also, those luky folk who live in the best areas in Uk such as Devon/Poole/Cornwall etc are very lucky as it is much nicer than the North..they are usually also lucky as they have more money to bring over due to the house prices in Southern UK and it can give them a better start that those of us form the North with cheaper houses. If I won zillions on the Lotto I would buy a house in Poole in Dorset for a million or so and live in UK for July/aug and sept, stop off in the med for a month and then live in Manly in Sydney for the rest of the year !! Both Uk & oz have good & bad....but what is disappointing is the loss of "british" identity....

We had no prblem, just needed ozzy digi boxes to run our tvs.. A REALLY GOOD TIP IS...BRING SOME OF THOSE 6 GANG POWER POINT THINGS AND JUST CHNAGE THE PLUG ON THAT SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO TOO MUCH PLU CHNAGING AT THE START AND YOU CAN PLUG IN EG. TV, DVD PLAYER, WII, LAP, CHARGER ETC ALL ON ONE WITHOUT CHANGING TOO MANY PLUG TOPS AT ONCE ! LYNNE

Well after getting rid of the totally useless bigpond dongel and argued with them til I was blue in the face, eventually got credits from them and $ 100 comp! Was happy as a pig in s..t with adam max as for the first 6 weeks ish it was fantastic ! could use skype anytime etc...and a proper internet service. Then I told all the neighbours and gradually it has got worse and worse and now constantly dropping out and with speeds less than dial up fequently, especially at what you would consider peak usage times such as weekends and evenings.. YES just when I want to use it. We keep complaining and they keep saying they know there is a problem but they arnt doing anything it is just getting worse...!! Is anyone else in the area experiencing the same ???? Lynne :arghh:

Hi martin, I was told that you did not have to get the visa stickers in your passports,that the print off e visa was enough is this okay ? or shall we go and get it ? Just to let you know once you do all you do to get Full Medicare cards is take your recipricol ones, the visa print out and your passports to your local offices and they fill out a form for you and the new ones come in the post. One of you can do it for the other so its easy ! Lynne

Once you get Perm residency you take your medicare cards, passports and email printout of your visa grant to your local medicare office and they will sort it for you

I will have to read it again or call Medicare, I was hoping it would just trigger it and we would get a new one. Yes we did get a reciprocal card for 3 years, but now we are permanent we must get it sorted out
