    Tax time

If it's just a simple tax return pay the $60/70 to an accountant, any decent one will easily get his fee back for you.
  3. Don't know if you can get fined at the tram stop but defiantly on the side of the road you can I can't remember what the fine was, but it couldn't have been cheap or I would have forgotten about it
  4. We're selling this bed as it's no longer needed, it's on Gumtree. http://www.gumtree.com.au/m-my-ad.html?adId=1017028413 Or Ad ID 1017028413 Thanks
  5. I have a kindle fire that I bought from the USA, at the moment you cannot download anything from Amazon until it has been released here as you need a UK or US credit card with either an address in the USA or the UK. You will be able to manually load music, books and films onto the kindle fire but you wont be able to stream them from Amazon. I was not able to access Google play either, of course just like a mobile phone these devices can be rooted then you can do what you like with no area restrictions. Have a look round the net there is loads of information, here is a couple to get you started. http://www.ereaderaustralia.com.au/kindle-fire-australia http://delimiter.com.au/2011/11/25/amazon-kindle-fire-australian-review/ http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1306 this is a bit more technical but gives you some idea. My daughter is a massive book reader, and absolutely loves this Kindle, with the colour screen and all the extra features over a dedicated Kindle e-reader, I paid $195 for this kindle and when you consider that a Kindle e-reader is $100+ I think it's good value for money. I still can't find when the official release date is yet though. This might help you decide or it might confuse you more??
  6. I have 3 Hoyts adult entry cinema tickets here. If someone wants them pm me and I will gladly send them to you. I got given them and live down South so they are no use to me. The expiry date is December this year.
  7. Have PM'd you(maybe twice, sorry) Gavin
  8. These suburb are great if you like living under a flight path. As smit said, no waves in those suburbs so no good for our family,(price had nothing to do with it, honestly ) your best bet is to arrive then have a good look around and make a decision then. Good luck with the move
  9. As stated by OKmorris you have to get a permit to bring a bike into the country, mine was turned down 2 weeks before the container was due to be packed, no reason why, just no. Had to sell it quick, not the best outcome. After you get all your information on the costs etc, apply sooner than later.
  10. Strange you should mention the solar feed, we have had our solar installed for 56 days and have been taking readings in the morning and at night, and we have averaged 8.62 kw per day, on a 3kw system. I sent the installer the results and he said that the system is running well and that he has noticed that this year the outputs are 25% down on normal. We are still waiting for the meter to be changed to an 'input/output' meter so have no idea how this will impact our bills all I can say is that the meter reading is lower now than it was when the system was fitted. As for gas well we also had ducted gas installed and we are certainly using it. Dreading the bills.
  11. Go back into Crazy John and they will do the hard work for you.

  13. I PM'd ( i think, don't seem to have much luck with pm's) regarding the 500GB DP-Lite i T.V recorder twin tuner (made by Beyonwiz), is it still for sale, if so how much would you like for it?
  14. But you haven't helped anyone out because Parko is still none the wiser. And then got the a##e when sidestep told you your mistake, hilarious.
  15. I bought my insulation from inhousesupplies he was the cheapest I could find. After spending all day from 7.30 until 4.30 in the roof laying the insulation I had to go back to get one more bag from them, talking to the owner he said he would have fitted it for a small amount (can't remember what the figure exactly was, $200 or $300 dollars). If there is one bit of advice I can give it is LET THEM FIT IT. We had suits, masks and gloves on, sweated non stop, and this was in March, had back/knee ache for the next week. For a couple of hundred bucks LET THEM FIT IT. Good luck
  16. Have pm'd you. Thanks Gavin

    Manual or Auto?

In all seriousness, it depends on what you want to do with the car. I have a six cylinder Commodore automatic and it is a great car. My wife also had a six cylinder commodore, we sold that one and bought a Suzuki Swift auto, this is a very small car and as she only travels to and from work (6km each way) this car has halved her petrol bill, there is no problem with the engine going up and down gears, basically because her journey is flat. Obviously we would not use the Suzuki to go to Melbourne in, but for around town, great car. I'm presuming that you are not a 'girl racer' and have no need to make sure your in the right gear for the next super fast corner. This is coming from an ex petrol head, still ride bikes though:wink:. I AM A CONVERT

'They're' not very good at driving automatics, imagine if "they" had more controls to worry about!!!!!!

  20. I used these guys, 191m2 $1100 for 3.5 batts, after I had sweated for a day fitting it he told me he would have fitted it for $250/300 I would have spent the money had I known what a horrible job it is. http://www.inhousesupplies.com.au/lonsdale-insulation Have fun
