  1. Hi It is compulsory to do the First Aid course to teach in SA. It's the BELS course 9-5 $90, you can book it through Red Cross College. You will still need to rgister with SA Teaching Board as well as the TRB. Everything takes it's time in SA. I am waiting for Police Check foe my TRB could take up to 6 weeks. When it comes to certifying certificates and signing infront of JP use the one in Grenfell Street Chesser Chambers they are free and don't need an appointment. Hope this helps a little Kathy

  7. Hi All, My wife and I have both got pensions in the UK. I have a pension with Standard Life and when I asked them what to do with it they replied the best thing was to wait as I have five years to decide what I want to do with it. I have since been contacted by a financial advisor who said that this was not the case and leaving it in the UK is frowned on by the Austrailian goverment. I would like some help as we are moving soon and would like to get this resolved asap. Thanks in advance Simon.

I know the day we leave will be emotional when leaving the family but I think as soon as we land the new life starts and we will work extremely hard to make it work. Good luck to everyone Kathy x
