  1. Hi Gulanga 10 weeks since meds were referred. What position are you in? Kathy
  2. Hi all Just thought I would share my thought of the day 10 WEEKS and still waiting, not getting any easier Kathy:goofy:
  3. Hi Sudipsaha Congratulation you must be relieved . We were 9 weeks last Tuesday so coming up to 10 I hope are as lujpky as you. Have a great time planning The move Kathy
  4. Hi Caz and Ian You are correct it was the hardest one out of the three. They do get harder so leave more time for the final one. If you go online there are lots of test you can do. Also a handy hint is to forget everything you know about the text subject just use the info given in the text. I know this may sound obvious but in one of my questions I disagreed with the text but I had to forget that and just use what was in the text. There is a lot of inference in the text as well as it's testing you understanding of the vocabulary. My final text was on the philosophy and futureology of scientology sound madness but as I said give literal answers and use inference. (using these hints I passed first time 8.) Good luck Kathy
  5. Hi to all Just an update spoke to my agent today for an update as our two months of waiting ( initial time scale given by CO ) has come to n end. CO told him there is a back log and it will be at least another 8 weeks and not to ring again, just wait for her e mail. Reading posts here and on pons in oz there seems to be no rhyme or reason some are on time some are early some are late and some really late. Think I will just try and chill for the next 8 weeks and try not to think about it. NOT GOOD LUCK to all those who have gained their visa s recently!!! Kathy
  6. Hi waltzing Matilda Congratulations you made it. You must feel on top of the world about going to the bottom of the world ( sorry) Well done so happy for you Good luck Kathy
  7. Hi It can't be much longer I am sure. You have reached the 16 weeks so I am hoping anytime now for you. My fingers are crossed Kathy x x

  9. Hi haythem H Just saw your thread. Does that mean some referrals are being passed positively within the 4 months? Can I ask where you get this info from is there a website to check ???? Kathy
  10. [ Hi katangel Thanks or that info very useful Kathy QUOTE=Katangel;257939]Think i can say who and how much ?? Anyways when we moved to UK we used wridgways in Adelaide and they were exceptional. Robinsons un packed us in nottingham and they too were great! We want wridgways to unpack us when we get back so i emailed them and told them the history and they have organised everything for us with john mason as we are now more derbyshire. They came out and did up our itinerary etc. Very happy with the process so far. Quote came in at just under £9000 for a 3 day lift. Which is what we were expecting. Just got to fill in all the customs forms etc now.
  11. Hi katangel Don't mean to be cheeky but can you tell me how much you were alter for a 40 foot container and who are using? Thanks kathy
  12. Hi Doing the same as you all stocking p on essentials . I have also bought new flat pack bedroom furniture as ours at the home is all fitted. We have gained a VAT receipt so will not gave to pay duty on the goods again Don't know if this will help others. But thought it worth sharing Kathy
  13. Hi Adelaide bound Completely agree with what you said much prefer to do supply or a while just to experience how things work in education, so have no problem with that. Just wanted to know the possibility of gaining ill time employment. Working full time at the moment in the UK but know how difficult it is here to get a job. W worried if it was the same over there. Thanks Good luck kathy
  14. Hi to all Hopefully I am almost at the end of the visa process, and worries start to creep in and the questions of am I doing the right thing. I know that in SA like here teachers need to do supply first in order to get themselves know before gaining a contract. I am more than willing to do this. My question however is what are the chances of gaining these contracts. Is it like here that for every job Vacancy there is an average of 250 teachers applying. I keep telling myself that I am being sponsored so surely there must be jobs there. Can any one give me an honest and realistic answer ? Many thanks Kathy:wacko:
  15. Hi waltzing Matilda Thanks for the update. It's madness you just feel in limbo all the time. Shall inform you if I get any news Kathy
  16. Hi all Just had a thought do I need to have been granted my visa before TRB. Sure the answer is yes but thought I'd ask Thanks again kathy
  17. Hi waltzing Matilda seem to be talking to you on two threads Shall do the same as you with the TRB Good luck Kathy
  18. Hi kathy We are using an agency an it cost £1,800 for they,re services. Is the other costs that add up IELTS approx £150 Skills Assessmennt approx £400 visa application Approx £2,100 Medicals approx £700 (two adults oe child) Police checks £45 each Sure I have forgotten something but to us the advantage f having an agent is all the hassle is with them. I am sure you could do it on your own cheaper I just like the fact that there is always someone on the end f the telephone to snswer questions, give advice and rot everything out. Good luck Kathy
  19. Hi haythem Only basing my 3 weeks on the initial e mail saying 2 months but if you have heard different little peeved. Have you had your visa yet or are you still waiting? Keep in touch Kathy
  20. Hi waltzing matilda Can't believe you have been waiting 14 weeks. Back when our agent had the e mail from our CO she said delayed for two months. So I am going on that, so maybe I better prepare for another long wait. Thought my husbands condition quite simple as he won't actually cost anything in medical care or prescriptions. Let me know when you receive yours. Everything seems to take longer than expected. Good luck and keep in touch Kathy
  21. Hi all Still waiting 5 weeks since they had results according to CO 3 weeks left till a decision. Why does time go so slow Kathy
  22. Hi You have to do your own c r b check it is a special immigration one and is £45. In regards to applying for medicals you need to have been given a transaction number by your CO. Until you have this number you will be unable to book your medicals. Once you have your medicals you can ring the medical assessment and fill in hard copies as opposed to doing it online. That is what we did. I am sure you have 28 days after being given the invitation to send off all your documents including your c r b but not the medicals. Hope this has been of some help to you. Good luck Ksthy
