  8. We finally got our visa granted Yesterday morning!!! I just wanted to say thank you all for your valuable advice on here! Even though we have had an agent the information that everybody goes out of their way to give is amazing!!! Just reading the threads has given us hope some days when we thought we would never get there!!! Onwards and upwards for us it is and I wish everyone going through and starting the process a lot of good luck!!!

  10. As I said in my last post forgive and correct me if I'm wrong! I didn't mention 887 visa as state sponsored?? I know it's not! The post was about a 489 visa and the conditions of it, we wanted to live in Western Australia more than we did south australia (family there) but it wasn't possible to get a 489 visa in Western Australia for us so hence the reason we decided on south australia! So you are telling me even though we have applied for a 489 visa with state sponsorship from south australia, we can just go and live and work in regional areas of western australia anyway??
  11. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm under the impression that for our ss 489 visa we HAVE TO live in south australia and work in south australia for two years before you can apply for a permanent visa?? The whole of south australia is regional so no boundaries there but would think that if you left south australia (or any state you are sponsored by on a 489) to live or work elsewhere it would affect your chances of a permanent visa at the end of the four years!! Please correct me if I am wrong though??
  12. The house??? Think you have me mistaken haha! I wish we had a house down under!
  13. Just read other posts! Haha bit slow I am x
  14. Hi on applying for our visa my husband had a mixture of years as PAYE and SE. for the years self employed he had to provide end of year tax return forms sa 302, references dating the self employment and bank statements and for the PAYE years he had to provide wage slips (if he had them) and p60s, bank statements and references also, for all this the tax office were brilliant, all the documents he needed went back to 2005-2006 tax year, the banks (had 2 diff accounts in this time) charged him £10 each to do bank statements from 2005- to present which was a small price to pay! I'd advise you to speak to the tax office and bank first, don't take agents word for it that it's not possible, and bug your agent to see if references could be accepted and as other ppl have advised a statutory declaration! Good luck x
  15. DIBP advises State and Territory Nominated GSM visa grants have not exceeded 2013/14 planning levels and applications are still being processed. However, there has been a greater than expected demand this year and steps have been taken to ensure the planning levels do not exceed those authorised by the Minister. Copied and pasted from email our agent sent yesterday. She told me to beware of what you see on forums as they can sometimes make you panic! She also said regarding the non-issuing visas until July query, that no visa has a time guarantee on it and if they issue our visa in July then it's just one of them things, the timeframe from lodgement to grant of a visa is not a matter of weeks anyway so don't panic people. The statement they sent my agent does not mention any timeframes just seems to mean there may be a bit of a delay!!
