Hi,

 

can an someone please help me what would be the dialling code to India from Australia I am struggling to contact my mom who is visiting there at the moment, from UK I used to dial:

 

00911 8262 ?????

 

 

here I have tried

 

01191 & 0011 91 with no joy any help would be much appreciated.

Hmm I'd have thought 0011 91 would have been it.

 

Are you trying to call a landline? Mobile? If its a mobile where is it normally used? Has it been set up for international calls/roaming?

You using a landline or a mobile? If it's a mobile it's possible the provider has disabled the service

I would have thought you dial the same number you dialled from the UK. International dialing codes don't change. AFAIK

It's 0011 and then the country code from here.

I just did a search and it says 0011 - 91(India) then the city in India e.g. if New Delhi - then it is - 11 - it sounds like you need to add the City number of India also.
