Hi all, is there any case where the officer approved 887 application without Medical Check for a new born baby ? I applied on 10/08 and the officer replied on 06/11 asking for additional documents for my spouse but no medical check required for our newborn!!

Who is your CO?

Sorry to not ask / not frame question like this.....Have you actually read your additional information doc in detail...?

To answer ur Question- I haven’t read or heard on this or any other forums about not asking Medicals for new born...

He was born prior lodgment :). On the requesting for more detail document, the checklist is requesting for Immigration Health Examination, and on the attached 'Health Examination List' it stated that 'No Health Examination Required'. However, I did call the local approved migration medical service provider with the HAP ID provided and their reply was that, the HAP ID provided is not existed on the system.

I did call the immigration phone number and they don't have a firm answer

I'm more confused now!

Mate, I read this as a paper based medical examination...as far as I have digested the dibp’s web..for 887..if the child is less than 6 months no medical test required...only an examination from ur local GP will suffice...

Option 1): Give Bupa immigration services a call (you can find their number on Bupa’s website) and clarify this...they will know in and out...

I c you are in Darwin so:

Option 2): Ring Top End Medical Casuarina and ask if Dr Mujtaba Ali can do this examination for you (is their practise and the DR approved to do this)

If no Luck, ring Care Point Medical in Casuarina (Dr Linga) and ask for the same...

Or

Nakara Medical Centre (Dr Ben Dayaratne)

he is a children Specialist and a very good doctor in Darwin....Ask the same details of he is approved to do this....

I deal with these above clinics almost every week for my work related things...

i am sure BUPA should be able to advise you all the details....

Hi 07 July2017,

As your application is also going through the newborn it will be so helpful if you kindly share it briefly.

Good luck

Karl,

Hey, i did call the Bupa and they didnt find the HAP id provided, they told me to call the immigration. I did call the immigration twice and they said based on the comments provided it is not required. However, my only concern is that if i provided the other requested document, he will come back after two months asking for the medical!

Hi All,

I am holding 489 visa and I applied for 887, I came to Australia in 2015 and before that I was in Italy for 2 years. in last June I visited Italy for one week trip. Is it required to get a police clearance from Italy as a part of visa 887 procedures ? I already submit PCC from Italy when I applied for visa 489 but this was from 2014.

Thanks

Email the CO ASAP of advising th hurdles you have encountered and the actions / measures you have taken!

just to be on a safer note to suffice that you have done something about the request and not ignored / overlooked at it...and also have updated Team 10 with in the 28 days period..

this is only an opinion mate, better consult a migration agent..just in case..and take an action then!

Good Luck?

Hi Samir,

if you refer to the guidelines, the police clearance is only valid for 12 months. I had the same issue before and I did call the immigration and their answer that the PC should be within 12 months. Being said that the officer can ask you for a new police clearance for the original 2 years that you stayed in italy. However, most of the officers they ignored that if you didn't go back to that country, and if you go back it is up to the case officer to request it or not.

I know cases where they went for a month visit and never been asked for a new PC, and other cases where they stayed for a 3 months or longer, and been asked for a new PC.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply .

I will start trying to get a PCC from Italy just in case I do not want any delay in getting my PR.

Hi,

I am on a 489 visa and working as a parking patrol officer. I usually do 4 shifts in a week (9 hrs*4=36hrs). but I get paid for 8.5 hrs per day(8.5*4=34) because of half an hour break, which in the end becomes 34.4 hours. Also, my payslip shows I get paid for 34.4 hours. my question is in this scenario I am fulling 887 visa requirement of 35hrs a week. does DIBP consider my current job as a fulltime job or do I need to find more work in order full fill the35 hrs requirement?

Hi All,

I have been a silent user of this forum. Just want to inquire that i filed my 887 application online and already uploaded my Residency and Employment Supporting documents.

But now i received email from the department and they asked me for the same documents again. I checked my documents and i can see that the uploaded documents are still there.

So my question is what should i do now? Should i re-upload the documents and click the INFORMATION PROVIDED button or should i directly press that button without doing anything?

Your support will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I uploaded the following supporting documents

1. Employment :  Employment reference letter, Notice of assessment.

2. Residency :  Tenancy Agreement, Rental receipts, reference letter from landlord, utility bills, Vehicle rego.

Thats were all the possible documents available for me to upload. But still asking for the same.
