Hey, I'm using my mum's account but I recently graduated from the R-12. I started end of year 8 and beginning of yr 9, I don't know if that's a similar age. The school will be in their last term so depending on the year group you won't have much left. Year 12's leave in about 4 weeks followed by the year 11's a week later on so on. The school is awesome great teachers. If you reply with your year I can give you teacher advice if I know them. Just be really open and friendly they'll probably come up to you saying I love your accent and try to copy it. That will happen all the time. Don't worry if they take the mick on some words it's just good humor. Some words rubber is eraser, the role is a register, tipex is white out. Compared to English schools you spend a lot of time outside on the oval, the field, the school itself is spread out but everything is easier to find, you get a map and trust me I still didn't know individual numbers. In terms of teachers it's unusual to call them sir or miss generally there whole surname or a nickname. For this first few years you might find your ahead in core subjects but don't feel bad . They don't really stereotype into cliques much, nerdy is a bit of a compliment. On curriculum try everything there is so much choice, you'll experience Japanese one of the best subjects and the teachers are really nice. Year 11 you can go to Japan. Quick word of warning health we don't really have health in the u.k. But it's a bit like prse , basically taking about drugs, alcohol, health issues mentally and physically. If you have any other questions feel free to message me either on here or candy lis. Good luck tomorrow
