The Thorn birds was a great read popular years ago . Just finished Jasper Jones couldn't put it down didn't think it was my type of book but thoroughly enjoyed it .

Hi we went four years ago if we went again we would book a hotel within walking distance of the CBD .loads of viewing areas near the bridge / opera house ,but you have to get your spot early it's cordoned off and only a certain amount of people allowed in these areas (on the TV it looks like plenty of room but when they have the quota you can't leave and return) take plenty of supply's .we had to take the train after the fireworks ,packed and scarey never again .Enjoyed the event it's a thing to do but it's a long day .

Most local parks (reserves )over here are great for kids and well looked after ,check out your local paper for what's on .

We have to face facts adelaide is in a bad place (economy wise ) on the radio a couple of days ago 40% more unemployment than last year was stated , and it's not just us poms loads of Aussies are unemployed .

We have planted lemon and lime trees loads of fruit on them ,sadly I moved the orange tree don't think it will survive .our tomatoes did really well but need so much water during the day .Our neighbour has a peach tree that overhangs the fence it had the biggest fruits this year ,but you have to be quick before the birds get to them . off topic but if your stuck for a hardy plant that needs very little water ,likes full sun get a Yucca or better still ask me for a cutting

Lots of sleepy towns around Mt Gambier okay if your used to this ,one of these is Mt Burr we landed in 1970 and went to stay with relatives .what an eye opener it's a beautiful place but there's nothing but pine forests .

Just over a week ago and last night it was circling over our house ,why would it cover the same route if looking for someone ,I think we should know what's going on and why only look for someone when it's dark ,I've not seen one police car all week

Nearly ran over one on the cycle path at mc claren vale don't know how I managed to swerve it ,looked back and it was gone

I've never had a speeding tickets but I hate the camera cars with a passion ,I don't speed but you have to constantly check your speedo checking cars parked along the road so easy to slightly go over .I flash on coming cars if it's safe to do so when I see a camera car unless it's a idiot driving .Police cars with radars are doing a good job if you can't see them it's time you packed driving in (unless there parked behind advertising boarding like they do in the country )
