  1. The med would have been referred just because you supplied extra reports. Try not to worry i know its not easy but you will be fine.
  2. Thank you Gill, My Granddaughter is 5 but will be 6 in May so will be of school age in Adelaide. i know we will have problems with her father because he keeps changing his mind wether she can come. We are willing to take him on in court as he his not exactly a good role model. Since we left the uk in January my granddaughters behaviour has deteriated. She did live with me with her mum untill about a year but i still saw her nearly every day when they move into their own place. My daughter has asked her what is bothering her and she wants to come live with me. This is why i want them over as early as possible. I will look into the options you have suggested and i i will suggest these to the agent to see what he says. At this stage his advice as been free so maybe he just thought of the obvious solution. I think i may try contacting a few other migration agents and also put these suggestions to them. Thans again Gill.
  3. Try not to worry. My boys meds were referred for nearly four months and they asked for an extra report but once that was recieved they passed within the week. I was pulling my hair out and i think we hold the record for the longest Meds referred lol. Hopefully you wont wait too long.
  4. Thanks Gill Ali and lynsteve for your replies. She is 23 and single but does have a dependant daughter so the agent said her quickest route would be sponsorship. He did not offer any other solution at this stage she is sending her qualifications and CV to the agent for him to assess.
  5. I am looking for a suitable hair salon that would sponsor my daughter. She has finished her level 3 in the uk but now wants to join us in Adelaide. she is missing us and sykpe is heart breaking with us both being in tears most of the time. I have spoken to an migration agent who has said this would be her quickest option. My husband and i will pay all the cost. She can not get a skilled visa because she has just qualified. So if anyone out there can please help or can give me any contacts then i would be exremley greatful.

    Comms silence

good luck and all the best.
  8. You have to apply for your CITB when you arrive. I printed the form off web and we took it there in person along with copy of visa and passport also copy of JIB card. IT was issued the next day. AS for white card you can do it at peer its a day course and hubby is doing it after his wiring rules. We have only been here two weeks and to be honest not really looked for work as yet.
  9. White card at peer is a 1 day course its $100 but if you have CITB card its only $25 my hubby is doing it this month. Also we took application in direct for CITB card and next day we had the CITB number. It has saved loads on peer fees. $790 for wiring rules but with CITB its only $255. Every little counts.
  10. So glad all has worked out. We have been here 2 weeks so early days for us.
  11. Peer course is 4 weeks unless you do it via distance learning then you go to peer for 4 days. If you wait till you get here you can apply for a CITB card and get the course alot cheaper.
  12. so you had a good first day lol. My OH is joining you tomorrow at college look out for him his name is Kev.
  13. Hey thats great news. Where are you starting work?
  14. Thank you all for your lovely comments. I have been in adelaide 4 days now and yes i have missed my kids back home but to see what a life my younger kids can have here has made it all worth while. I know in time they will get used to the idea and soon they will be coming for extra long holidays. Thanks again poms in Adelaide for all your support.
  15. We fly to tomorrow to our new life in Adelaide. The thing is I am leaving 3 older children and 5 grandchildren behind. My 4 younger children are coming with us. I have cried all day. Picking the children up from there last day at school was bad enough. Some of my son friends (8 year olds) were heart broken and begging me to let him stay which was heartbreaking. Then tonight saying bye to my two daughters and their children, someone may has well just ripped out my heart out. Why am I doing this I am sat here asking myself. My son didn't come to say goodbye as he said he could not handle it. So I'm sat here sobbing. I know it's going to be hard I just underestimated how hard it was going to be saying goodbye.
