We brought a load of new stuff with us in the original boxes cos I worked in a furniture store at the time and only paid cost price, still wish I'd brought more tho. Did the salt thing and it almost worked but it was a dried in stain, so I tried the napisan and the stain has gone. Stupid idea to put cream carpet in a rental, we have runners and rugs everywhere and still managed to spill wine on a small patch of uncovered carpet...nightmare

Anybody know how to get rid of a red wine stain off a cream carpet or what product will do it, we are in a rental so really need to get rid of the stain, have tried preen and sard soap but it is still visible Any advice would be appreciated Thanx xx

If you claim family assistance it should say on your letter (the one that says how much you are entitled to) under important information, it should say whether you are getting it or not. When you apply for child benefit, which is means tested, they automatically see if you qualify for rent assistance, if you do it is paid fortnightly with your child benefits. I think you qualify if your rent is more than $350 a fortnight. We did not qualify so I'm sorry I can't tell you how much it would be.
