hi we arrived here last 2009 me and hubby plus 3 kids on 6000 gbp, I started work 2 weeks after we arrived, got us a second hand car on finance, hubby didn't get a job til 3-4 months after we arrived , got a rented accommodation...we live sleeping on the floor and eating on a paper plate...you can survive ur first few months if you are not really fuzz, u have to sacrifice a little bit to gain, then after that we managed to buy some furnitures ...it can be done if you really put yur heart and mind on it...

you should have atleast a third party insurance with your new car, you should inform Allianz and they can help yu as to what is the next step

hi congrats good on you... if you gonna ask me i still prefer adelaide over melbourne.. y? this is a nice place to bring up ur kids, yeaH melbourne is bigger than adelaide but with it u get higher crime rates (just my opinion), we got nice weather ...and esp lesser traffic congestion...

hi what i can suggest is that as soon as you arrive you transfer your brit liscence to an australian one.. then get a bank account--or even before you leave uk you caqn get one--westpac , commbank does it i think.. it will not matter if you are not a resident yet--since you said you are buying cash.. but why use up your cash when you can get it on finance...some dealers can give you finance but it will be just base on you visa..peter kittle toyota is a good place to go...but it depends on you where your fancy is. hope this helps

you still need a deposit on this? i have enquired with statesman before coz thay said $5000 can get you a house, but in the end i still need to find deposit ...how this $23000 can be put as deposit? or in the case of if im paying rent can be put into as genuine savings? pls explain...its hard to get the deposit as it is and apparently this is only until june 2013...dont wanna loose out on this.

hi i can say i know how you feel..coz im a sufferer too!...its really bad esp when ur on yer feet all day... i agree with others here, a good foot insole sometime do the trick but if yours is worst , u may need to see a podiatrist--saw one in uk before same he just advise a good foot insoles, a gp once advised me if it gets worst a steroid injection may help but its only for short time...if mine really gets bad i usually have a foot massage..anit-inflammatories will help too...plantar fasciitis will usually affect ur back, hips, the ball of ur foot as its somewhat interconnects....u can try rolling your feet on a golf ball, it may relieve the pain/pressure. cold compress may helo relieve the pain too...its really a supportive measure but as i say if you want to take the route of having steroids injection its entirely up to u..hope this helps...

or you can go to gepps cross theres a big fruit and veg market there evry sunday from 6 a.m. i got there most of the time....u just need to pay $1.50 to get in...fish market you can go to fishermans wharf at port adelaide or go to torrens island they got fish there and few veggies as well..hope this helps

i agree it should not matter whatever ur nationality is...living in adelaide for 3 yrs now...and we love it.. i also came from pnoy background..i only have few good friends..who need big or lots of friends anyway..few good ones will do and besides u meant to be spending time with ur family...i find adelaide is a good place to live..less crimes compare to bigger cities..ur welcome to come and stay ...btw im also a nurse working at the RAH
