Hi What about the 489 s/s regional visa. Jobs are scarce here in Adelaide but there are jobs in other state regional area. I have a job offer in regional Queensland Its a FIFO job I am renting a house here in Adelaide Kids are in school in Adelaide WHat happens in this case..do I have to inform DIAC Curious

Hi Bal67 We flew one way from South Africa and there was nothing extra. above the 30kg limit . Make sure your bags are packed for 30kg..If you are over weight they will make you take it out. Good luck enjoy the flight..See you in Adelaide

Hi I have been granted a 489 visa sponsored by the state. There is one conditon there"8539 must stay in specified regional area" Does this mean you can work in another state but in a regional area or DO you have to live and work in the state that sponsored you.

Do you have to be employed in the same field that you applied for the visa ( Your skills that you was assesed) or can you do any job 3.Do kids have to pay international school fees 4. IF wife works for 12 months can this satisfy the visa condition for 12 months employment for permanent visa application and live for 2 years in area and then apply for PR although I was the main applicant for visa????

Hi All Need some help. Visas granted??? Planning to arrive in Adeliade at the end of Jan 2014. Have 3 kids ; 13 ; 11 ; 7. 13 year old starting high school next year. Need to find a house for short term. Then find a house for long term Schools for kids Then a job for myself and OH. Buy car etc. Can anybody help with some useful info. Is it reasonable to go with a relocation company or can all this be done by myself considering I processed my visa application on my own without nay help from a migration agent. need to make some new friends as well. Moving from South Africa.

Hi Dudleycat I did my application myself...The biggest hurdle was getting my TRA. I got letters from all the companies I work for on their letter head with my day to day job description and got supervisor to sign. For the companies that closed down ; I got a stautory declaration signed. Was not very difficult. That is the longest and most nerve wrecking process for me..the rest was piece of pie...except the wait. Check my time lines. Gud Luck

Hang in there guys. We thought visas will be aprroved in APRIL 2014. Just need to tie up a few loose ends. Sells car and furniture and book tickets. At least kids dont need to goto school next year in South Africa. Can start one time in Adelaide.

Hi All Was waiting for 6 weeks to be up for case officer to be appointed. Looked in inbox this morning and guess what VISA APPROVED grant letter. Lucky I did medicals and ppc andfront loaded. GSm team 2 Adelaide. HPOuse got sold on 10 Nov2013 Just waiting for furniture to be sold. WIll be arriving in first week FEB 2014 I will be more regular on website now. Hope to get more info on housing; jobs ; schools..etc Cannot wait to get there??

Hi The status changed on all attached documents on visa application from "''required to ''recieved'' after 4 weeks after lodging application. I have applied for 489 and the waiting period for co to be appointed is 5 weeks..Does it mean that somebody is looking at the documents already??

Hi Bal 67 You mean you have an invite to now apply for 489 visa And you still have to apply for visa and submitt all paperwork and still pay visa fees????

Hi Coastie Will be in Adelaide in early 2014..I am an DCS/Instrument technician. Also i use to work for Pfizer ireland as engineering techncian. Is there much jobs for this field?? You can PM me
